Education System Should Be Changed

As I have mentioned in my last post on how children desires and happiness are degraded by the parents, and that they should give their children a free choice to make their own decisions, that will make them grow and prosper in the field.

So, now coming back to the Education System, it’s sad to notice that even in this field they are kind of differentiating between Gender. This question has always triggered my mind that why is it that in girl’s college we have cookery classes and in boy’s college we don’t? Just because the society says that girls should learn how to cook? No, change this mentality. Boys too should know how to cook. Why not integrate cookery classes in boy’s college too? In this way the education system would teach people how to aim at gender equality and boys would stop looking down at girls.
If we look at this matter in another way, I think one should learn everything that can relate to his daily life or field. I am going to give you my example. I am a Masters student and I have occupied a flat with my friends to stay there. I personally don't know how to cook, so if the other guys are not to cook, I won't be able to eat, and then I have to order something from the Restaurants or hotels, and that meal is not good for health.

Another important point to raise for this topic would be the Extreme lack of practical knowledge in our current Education System. The latter just teaches us how to get good grades by learning things by heart and vomiting it on the paper on the exam day. And then? It doesn’t really teach us where to apply all these knowledge, and in time this knowledge gets rusted there in our brain.

What if students are given the opportunity to get hands-on knowledge in the field they are studying such that they know what they can expect in the work-life when they come out of university. Because for sure, the degree on the paper will hardly help them, it’s just a means to make an entry in the work life. The whole learning cycle begins at work.

Lastly, our Education System does not help our students in developing soft skills like self-confidence, communication skills, and other such skills that are important for a good employee to have. And when these people reach the stage of having to give an interview to get a job, they often fall short in these skills and they might end up not getting a job due to that despite having really good academic qualifications.
