KEEP THE WORD

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience
Luke 8:15

The importance of the word of God in the lives of men cannot be over emphasized. God's word when made use of brings about a victorious and beautiful end, little or no wonder why our adversary, the devil, seeks every means to swipe the word from us when it is being received.

In our opening text, Jesus talked about those who heard the word and kept it. "Keep" simply means to retain, maintain possession of. The essence of keeping a thing is actually to make use of it when the need arises. It will be foolishness if a man who have just one cloth having received a bag of good clothes as a gift to continue wearing that same old cloth he has over and over again and wisdom if he decides to pull off his old garment and start wearing the new ones he now has, looking good daily. Same it is with the word, having received God's word, it's now yours and you are expected to start making use of it by living it. Be transformed by it, put off the old mind set and put on the new mindset which is the word. When the word of God concerning healing comes to you, after receiving it with joy, you are not expected to remain in a sick state because that word is the cure for that ailment all you need do make use of the cure.

Conditions that makes the word of God productive in one's life

• Receive the word with joy
• Believe in the word that it is true
• Meditate on it
• Make it your lifestyle.

One beautiful benefit about keeping the word is that it makes our lives fruitful, there will be no barrenness. In all we do, we will see good results in due time. ( Ps 1:1, Jas 1:25, Luke 11:28; 8:15).

We are blessed when we keep the word! Meaning no curses whatsoever are permitted to operate! Hallelujah! But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and brought forth fruit with patience. Luke 8:15

          *PRAYER*

The word is in me for my right living, by speaking and acting it. I speak concerning the earth, receive every necessary balance for my favour. Amen.
