This is one of my favorite rock/metal musical track by Linkin Park, not because of the good song but because the lyrics of this track applies to every aspect of my life and to some of the people i know. Today on Awkward Moments, i have decided to use this track title as a life lesson brought to you on the Blockchain.

"YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU GOT TILL IT'S GONE"

Generally, we humans tend not to pay detailed attention to so many things and people around us, things we see daily or very familiar with. Just a handful of people are meticulous about this things we consider trivial around them.Same thing applies to friends and neighbors, we pay little attention to this folks until the days we are in dire needs.

In the suburbs, on the west-coast of a tiny farming village lived a peasant farmer who runs a commercial motor bike services for the people in this small village, married with two kids; Fred as he is called lived a simple and humble life to the fullest.

People in this village takes rides and never pays Fred often, he had a credit register where he kept record of everyone owing him, literally everyone is owing him in the Village. At times it is so hard for Fred and his Family because he bares all the cost of services all in the name of being peaceful and meek. Everyone in the village takes advantage of this humble man and wants to get a free ride day after day.

To shorten the long Narration, Fred Got Fed up!

He and his family had to relocate to the nearest city to continue his Motor-bike transport services and get actual payment for it. The day came for Fred's family to move, packing all their belongings in a hired truck, it was a sight to see as most of the villagers gathered to watch. Some were making fun of this humble family and the hooting sound could be heard miles away. Few hours passed, after taking all the jibes and hooting calls; the Family left never to return.

Few months passed, everyone had forgotten about Fred and his commercial Motor-bike service. The rain came so hard for weeks and every where became swampy and water logged, no other means of transportation could get to the village and Fred is now gone...The waters keeps rising!

For a couple more weeks, everyone was stranded indoors and each had secretly wished Fred was still around, all the villagers secretly prayed for him to return but such prayers hardly gets answered!

Yeah, I know what it is about, but I somehow personally miss the concept every time I have to attend the burial. Everybody cries, but i fail to do so because a person who departed was a great person, a great friend and had a good life, wonderful memories that I just can't associate with the tears... but most of the attendants didn't even 'feel' it during the life, still they cry over a dead empty shell.

Smile while you have teeth...

Wow!

I love this illustrative comment my friend, deep messages you passed out!

Life is about happiness and sorrows. We have gone through so many things and still move ahead by conquering day to day problems.

We all have special powers which make us able to survive.

Thanks for the motivation @oluwoleolaide

You are welcome

People take a lot for granted... WE take a lot for granted, and it's only when it's gone that we find out what we've missed.

Cherish life, Cherish people, Cherish the little things (don't forget the big ones too), and you'll be golden.

Thanks @oluwoleolaide

Most welcome Yvonn, where have you been?

Hmm, that's a story for another day. It's been very rough. I'll talk about it soon, on my blog.

Thanks for the kind complements @saintopic

A lot of us have made such kind of mistake, but the most important thing is to learn from that mistake and do not let it be repeated. Live life and take steps intentionally.
Nice one.
