Whether you blog for a living or it's just a hobby, it's normal for you to want to be successful at it. Your blog says a lot to people about the kind of person you are. You want it to have the desired impact on your readers. But it is easy to become an overthinker because of this. There are probably only a few things that can affect your blogging more negatively than overthinking. A person who is stuck in thinking mode cannot be productive. Doers are always more successful than thinkers. What are some signs that you have been overthinking?

You are yet to publish an article

If you've been on steemit for a while but you can't make up your mind what your first blog post should be about, you are overthinking. It's not that serious. You are not the president of your country and your first blog post is not an address to the United nations. Chances that your first post will start the third world war are rather slim. Just write about something you are interested in and make sure it is sensible. You have many days ahead to explore any subject that tickles your fancy. For now, just be a doer.

Everything You have written is perfect

If you are a blogger and everything you've written is perfect, you must have been spending an awful long time writing them. You have been dedicating time you should spend writing a book to your blog posts. There's no way you can blog like this and be prolific. You have been overthinking your posts. Do the reasonable amount of work that blogging daily or weekly allows on your articles.

You are always comparing

It is good to know what others are doing in your field. That is how entrepreneurs stay relevant in their industries. But if you find yourself always checking out other people's stuff, you are always going to be thinking about what you are not doing right, instead of you doing what you CAN do.

Theres no other way to write than to write. Blogging is a journey, not a destination. Don't allow overthinking keep you stuck in analysis paralysis. Be a doer.
