Shadow People and Their Reality

What or who is a shadow person?

A shadow person can seem to look like a humaniod figure but instead of seeing a person that has a face and noticably features, they appear to the human eye as “the shadow of a person without the person whom it belongs to,” or a black mass in the shape of a person.
They are generally classed as a male figure and commonly they are seen wearing a rather large coat and or hat and appear to be 6 to 7 foot in height.

The history behind the legend of the shadow people

The first time that the shadow people were mention was on the Coast to Coast AM radio show by author Heidi Hollis in 2002.
Ms Hollis quotes that it was to promote the “existence of shadowy negative beings whose purpose” she then goes on to say that it “was to annoy, scare, or harm people.”
Mr. Art Bell was the broadcaster and founder of Coast to Coast AM, and was the person who invited his listeners to “reinterpret personal experiences of sleep paralysis, pareidolia and hallucination as genuine encounters with malevolent supernatural beings.” In turn this led to a mass of callers claiming to have seen and experienced these people in their homes and lives.

The different types of shadow people:

There are 3 main types of shadow people that have been the most commonly sighted and 1 other kind.

1. Human Shaped Shadow People:

Also classified as “Negative Energy”

This kind of shadow person tends to be the most common of the 3 sightings, meaning that they fit the basic description of male, 6 to 7 foot in height and wearing a hat; but they can come in other combinations such as wearing a coast for example.
These shadows also lean towards being more persistent in lurking around and will seem more interested in you than the others.

2. Black Mass Shadow People:

Also classified as “Demonic”

These shadow people shouldn’t even be called “people” due to the fact that they have less of a humanoid figure to their appearance; making them look as if they are fuzzy or have been blurred from reality. You must beware because they can change shape, forming more of a cloud figure that lets off an evil presence.
According to people this type of person is the former spirit of a somewhat negative person but is growing in power leading them to start to lose their human identity.
These forms will absorb negative energy so that they can grow bigger and more powerful.
These forms usually attach themselves to a person or location

3. Demonic Shadow People with Red Eyes:

Also classified as “Most Dangerous!!”

These are the figures that have to be avoided at all costs!
Theres not much information known about this type however they are widely varied in shape nevertheless usually retain the form of a human but are unnaturally tall in height and will have a demonic feature about them; for example wings or horns.
They also do not give off an evil presence but they will trick you.
These demonic forms of shadow people are tied to 1 specific location and not generally people.

4. Other Forms:

There are many other forms of shadow people, one more commonly known as the “Old Hag Shadow Person”. Other less common reports involves animals being bewitched.

What do these people want?

At this current point in time there are many theories to what the people of the shadows want with the living.
Many believe that their goal is to collect the souls of the living as they are close to their death and help to foreshadow said persons death, while other believe that they are interdimensional beings who are manifesting in our dimension instead of their own.
These interdimensional travelors are believed to not be of any harm, although other people disbelieve this saying that they are in fact here to harm us and could even go as far as saying that will abduct us and take us to another dimension.
The last point leads me on to my next theory that shadow people are actually just aliens in disguise; which is the most uncommon theory about them.
Finally the most common theory about them is that they were sent up to earth from hell in order to cause havoc upon the living and sabotage all those we love and trust; “they want us to suffer.”

What does it mean to have seen them in a dream?

According to the Dream Dictionary seeing a shadow person in your dream has the following meaning.
Seeing a shadow in your dream is associated with the shadowy selves or any part of yourself you do not like or cannot convey in your waking life. This particularly shadowy part of yourself continues to be concealed in your subconscious in support of the goals that can convey that. Typically, in our dreams, the shadow follows us and we are inseparable. If the shadow takes on an ominous and scary element, then you should consider whether you are “afraid of your personal shadow. “Dig seriously to learn what it is regarding your “shady” character that you are scared of letting out into the light. It may not be as frightening as you think.
