Religion is the only native religion in China.

Taoism originated in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Zhang Daoling, who founded Wudoumi Taoism in Sichuan at that time, was the eighth grandson of Zhang Liang, the great hero of the Western Han Dynasty. It was named after the worshipers of the five stars and the mother of the Beidou. I find the latter more plausible.

Therefore, Zhang Daoling became the first generation of "Zhang Tianshi", and his ancestral court was set up in Longhu Mountain, Jiangxi Province. Yesterday in the Qing Dynasty, "Iron Hat King" article mentioned a word, called "hereditary brother." Taoism is the same, the inheriting object of Heaven teacher, must be the ancestor of Zhang, not the lineage of Heaven teacher, known as the lineage of Tian Shi, which has been inherited for 65 generations.

After Zhang Daoling, until the Tang Dynasty, Taoism generally respected Laozi as the master of religion. The main research direction was the art of immortality. Many emperors were superstitious in the matter of making Changsheng Dan, which had been popular for more than 1000 years. It was the wrong thing to do with gunpowder. In addition to making alchemy, Taoism also engages in "fu Zhai Jiao", "Fu" is a drawing symbol, "Fu" is a record of the days and officials, the name of the ten immortals, the calling of gods and officials, the implementation of magic. "Jiao Zhai" is to set up an altar to offer offerings, eliminate disasters and pray for blessings.

There are eight major sects in Buddhism. Like Buddhism, Taoism also has many sects. Taoist schools in martial arts novels are mainly divided into regions, such as Wudang School (Hubei), Huashan School (Shaanxi), Kongtong School (Gansu) and so on.

After the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Taoism was stimulated by the rapid rise of Buddhism, and a lot of self-contained Taoist scriptures emerged. In the Tang Dynasty, Taoists began to practice different Taoist scriptures, but generally they belonged to the Tian Shi Dao. But in the Song and Yuan dynasties, new Taoist schools emerged in endlessly.

Some Taoist groups in the south built new schools mainly on the basis of Fu. In the late Northern Song Dynasty, Wang Chongyang, Shaanxi Province, founded Quan Zhen Tao in the area of Zhongnanshan, and later received many disciples in Shandong and Henan, the most famous of whom was the "Quanzhen Seven sons."

That is: Ma Yu (Danyang son), Qiu Zhiji (Changchun son), Tan Chu-tuan (Chang Zhenzi), Wang Zhuyi (Yuyang son), Hao Datong (Taikozi), Liu Zhuxuan (Changsheng son) and Ma Yu's wife Sun Buer (Qingjing Sanren),

They founded the seven major schools of Quanzhen, namely: Ma Yu Yuxian School, Qiu Zao Longmen School, Tan Choutuan Nan Wu School, Liu Zhuxuan School, Hao Datong Hua Shan School, Wang Zhuyi Quanzhen School, Sun Bu Erjing School. Among them, Qiu's Longmen School had the greatest influence. At that time, there was chaos in the world. At the age of 74, Qiu went to the Western region to persuade Genghis Khan to stop killing and loving the people, known all over the world, for the Southern Song and Jin dynasties. The rulers of the Mongol Empire and the broad masses of the people respected, the people to commemorate the "Qiu Shenxian" infinite merit, set its birthday on the 19th as Yan Nine Festival, celebrating to this day.

Quanzhen Seven son

In the Southern Song Dynasty, there was also a Jin Dan School, whose "research direction" was mainly the practice of inner Dan. In short, it was to imagine the human body as a pot. "as a jade furnace, the heart is a golden tripod." We have all heard the story of the eight Immortals crossing the sea, and the eight Immortals are the product of this school. After the unification of China in the Yuan Dynasty, the Jin Dan school merged into the Quanzhen School, and the southern school of Fu returned to the Longhu Mountain Tianshi sect, forming two major Taoist schools, Quanzhen and Zhengyi.

Quan Real Longmen ancestral Court is located in the White Cloud Taoist Temple, Beijing, where the Taoist Association is now based. The ancestral court of Zhengdao is the Dragon and Tiger Mountain as mentioned earlier. The Taoists of the same school can marry and have children, and they do not need a monastic family, and Quanzhen, except for the Southern sect in history, wants to become a monk.

"Quanzhen" and "Zhengyi" continue to this day. Since the Qing Dynasty, Quan Zhen Longmen School has become the first faction in China. Most of the present vice chairmen of Taoist Association are Quanzhen Longmen School.
