It is sort of like a subscription service similar to YouTube Red. The huge advantage to Brave though, is that you can specifically sort through the people you want to support. You can also make sure you are not supporting the creators you do not want to.

It is a much more pin-pointed way to only support specific people

The problem with paying a lump sum for YouTube Red or something similar, is that you end up supporting people you do not wish to give your money to. With Brave you are actually directly helping to support people you love and giving them the means to continue.

Tell all your friends to get Brave also. The more people we can get on there the better! Let's all try and support each other. We do not need to be paid by YouTube to continue to be video content creators. There are tons of options out there if you want to be able to keep your channel going.
