I wouldn't have been able to activate my account myself. Thanks to https://sites.google.com/view/activateyoutub/ I was able to do it. Maybe it will help someone, so I'll leave it just in case. There, even I was able to figure out how to connect YouTube to Apple TV. It turned out to be a lot easier than I thought it would be.
