Tree Tuesday Bursts into Spring

in #treetuesday5 years ago (edited)

Oh, lift my soul when it flowers
With a breath of fresh air
Blowing beautiful thoughts on my world

This post is dedicated to #TreeTuesday initiated by @Old-Guy-Photos! Let's pull out a tree or three and post them. You know you want to!

The newness of spring sometimes takes my breath away. So fresh, it is. To begin again can be exhilarating, like the start of a new school year for a child. Full of excitement, even though you know what's coming. Oh, spring! You do it to me every year!

Just a reminder from last year of what to expect from the cherry blossoms this year

It is amazing to step out into nature today, for just yesterday I was enjoying the cold of winter - and suddenly, it's spring. The birds are beginning to make their nests, spying the best vantage points, all the while hiding their babies until the day they don't any longer.

The beauty of the Magnolias bursting upon the scene.

She sighs.

The gift of love.
The gift of peace.
The gift of happiness.
The beauty of spring
May these be yours
Forever and a day

The magic of spring never ceases to amaze these eyes. May you never get cynical enough to let it pass without giving it a thought.

Always a flower. This is dedicated to #TuesdayOrange #ColorChallenge by @Kalemandra! Let it color my world today.

So divine, they are. Some of my loveliest feelings are framed by the blooming of a flower, making my soul feel like it was touched by an angel. Oh, heavenly!

Sometimes hitting the pause button in life gives me just enough time to catch up, breathe a bit and enjoy the beauty that surrounds me, hear the laughter in the background and feel the sun on my face. I can even hear my own heart beating a sound of joy.

Thank you for visiting my post 💖 Because of you, I come back to post again and again, I am encouraged by you, for the time you take to visit, comment or even upvote. For all of these reasons, I am eternally grateful. Don't ever forget what a wonderful world we live in, people. Let's hold hands around the globe and make this earth really spin. Some days, it is not as easy to see, how wonderful it really is. Kindness counts. Wherever you go, whatever you do.

I always post this poem down at the bottom of my posts. It is one that has become so near and dear to my heart. I only post the most famous part of it, but, wanted to post it in its entirety today.

they set my aunts house on fire
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?

i’ve been praying,
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.

later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,

"everywhere"
"everywhere"
"everywhere"

Spring is a such a special time of year! Much like a sunrise. A sign of rebirth and packed full of awesome possibilities. How can anyone miss the fascination?

You always take the most amazing shots, Princess!

Spring really is amazing, isn't it? And yes, I guess you're right it is very much like sunrise, the start of something new, a rebirth, a starting all over again.

Yes. That.

It is hard to miss the fascination but there are people that seemed to let all the small things in life pass them by. They have no idea what they are missing. It's that feather floating in the water or the swans necking in the pond, with their bodies making the shape of a heart. It's that odd flower growing out of the side of a tree. I think spring just brings me closer to Nature and makes me appreciate it even more.

Happy! #TreeTuesday!

Yes you nailed it exactly! Of course you say it so much better than I can. You get it 100 %! Such a special time of year and an awesome gift for all to enjoy! Thanks Sunshine! You rock!

Anything that is so beautiful can only be a gift. Honestly, there is no right way or wrong way to say it. However it comes out, is perfect.

I never noticed until today that the cherry blossom has flowers on the trunk as well as the branches as you have shown us above.
Snapped this picking up my grandson from nursery and it too had flowers on the trunk.

Lovely images Denise, flowers make me smile too. Let me see if I have something in the !tip jar.

Oh, how lovely!! Isn't it amazing, this nature thing? I always have to keep my eyes peeled so I don't miss out on one of the little surprises!

Gorgeous tree!!! And thank you !!!!

Quite literally two hours ago I was standing waiting outside the nursery and noticed probably for the first time in my life the blossom on the trunk. Came home and saw your photo of the same thing. Totally amazing.

Isn't nature and instant communication marvelous?

In so many ways!!!! Yes!!!

Howdy, I've been a delinquent on here as of late. Just wanted to say hello (I shall vote, once my batteries become full once more). I love your school day/spring analogy. Wasn't that a special time of life? So scary and exciting. Your photos are beautiful. I've always been a fan of the budding evergreens. Then again, I've spent 3/4 of my life in the woods, so that might make sense. Thanks for a look at your springtime sproingage of the area in the East. Hope it stays, and this snow business becomes a distant memory. Cheers to a happy Tree Tuesday.

@ddschteinn

You are doing way better than me getting around and commenting. I feel so much like a failure for letting everything get in my way. He actually took me 3 days to finish with Market Friday this week. Seriously. I just don't know where the time goes. If this works so fun I would ditch it in a New York Minute.

I do love spring and I have to admit that the evergreens have a fond place in my heart. It could be spending so much time up in Maine when I was growing up, but even Connecticut had scores of Evergreens on the properties. So me and Evergreens go way back and I do love them. I'm jealous that you got to spend your working hours perusing the forest. I can't imagine what that would have been like to be working right now in a forest instead of indoors. Oh well. There's no such thing as having a redo, otherwise I might consider another occupation. Want to ask me reclining in a chair and somebody peeling grapes and feeding them to me. Do you know where I can get one of those jobs?

Well my dear oh, you are always a Hoot and Holler and I adore chatting with you. I hope you have a great night and give HH a hello for me!

!tip

Hello, see, I'm a delinquent as well (not that you are, it just fits well in this sentence...). Takes me so long to get back sometimes. And I can surely relate to the long post. This last series on the snows of SnOwregon 2019 took me over a week to work on. Then again, it's something like 9-10 posts, with GOBS of photos to peruse first. But that is sometimes the way it goes. Some writings take days of work. Then again, some like the 5 minute freewrite, take only five minutes and editing. A real mix on here. I have a feeling you are like me, and spend a lot of time on your photos. Maybe it's a Tsu thing ( I only just got started on there, before it went gunnybags. Sad.) But I like to make the photos look good. Just a thing with me. And from years of doing photos on film. The old fashioned way. This sure works better and is cheaper.
I DO feel very very very fortunate to have been able to work in the woods over the years. I was very lucky indeed. Then again, if you'd asked me that on a 33 degree day of sleet and rain for 10 yours straight with frozen hands and snow falling off the trees and down your back, then sliding down the hill on your betookus in the mud, I might not have always agreed. But we forget those parts quickly. It was incredible, to spend most of my working life in the woods. Very fortuitous indeed, was I. If that's the right word. If not, I was just lucky. And incredibly blessed.

If I do find one of those grapes-in-the-office-chair jobs, I'll let you know. That sounds like a way to go. But I think the grass is always greener on the other side of the partition, mountain...so we must keep that in mind. Well, keep on smiling and enjoy your day on Friday. I gotta go to bed. What AM I doing on here all night long? Oh, that's right, as DS says, it's a whole lot of fun. Cheerio(s)

Hahahaha! Oh, my goodness! You certainly tickle my funny bone! LOL

I think it must be the TSU thing with the pictures. I never used to care about the pictures so much and now... well, the truth is, I would rather put up no post than one that just fits the space.

And I let this comment go way tooo long. OMG! I am soooo behind!

!tip

Always glad to supply a slight chortle. I'm like you, I don't put anything on here I wouldn't want to be around for a long time. Don't get as much done, but it's just a 'thing' with me.
OK, I'm done now, don't want to make you reply back, as you are overly harried to comment. I can relate, it is SO hard to keep up and have a life and all that jazz. Thanks so much for the tip, and have a vundebar night. Cheers, my friend. Keep on smilin'

I love that shot of the cherry blossoms coming out of the tree trunk!

Thank you! I love the little surprises in nature!

When left to its own devices, this will grow into another branch, but, in the meantime, I love that look too! Are your cherry trees in bloom over there yet?

I am going to see if I can capture more shots of them. It has actually been too windy!!! Have a most wonderful night!

@old-guy-photos has been inspiring folks with his pictures and stories here for as long as I can remember.

I do love the light coloured and soft new bits that pop up on the trees in the spring. We are set to hit 10 Celsius today and the birds are already returning so I hope to see some of those buds soon.

Oh hey man, thanks for the kind words!

Any time. I appreciate the ongoing support and love having you as a part of my feed.

Wow, the spring has really come so much further were you live than where I live! I'm so jealous 💕
