The other week, as my tree lay naked, the lights were strewn on the floor, draped over the couch, strings of chaotic twinkles everywhere you looked. Piles of tissue were mountain high in an organized mess, while the ornaments were placed with care, shimmering, brilliant in color, embellished with jewels and glitter, and all the sparkles.
The first words out of my mouth were “It is so beautiful”
There was much laughter aimed at me after I uttered those words- because truth be told, the place was a huge mess. There was stuff everywhere you looked. I could barely walk into a room without tripping on something.
But in that moment of seeing the potential, I saw the beauty of what was possible.
I think of this little event in my life, and how it plays an important role for me. Now, I wake up to a different set of possibilities every single day. Do you see all the potential possibilities around you?

I am a firm believe in options and possibilities. That is why at the end of the day I am an optimist. As you saw, sometimes things may look like a mess, but with the proper vision one can see the beautiful possibilities.

I am a firm believer in that too. A mess is usually only temporary and can be transformed into something amazing.

OMG well your tree is a hard act to follow! As a minimalist though I have simply gone for a solar powered string of lights hanging in my pine tree that is growing just outside my window. It is simplicity itself but makes me very happy. Yours nonetheless is a supreme sight to behold... my cat would love to jump into this one 😂😂😂😂😂❤️🌈🦋🌴💛🍀
Don't worry! The minimalists in me put a string of lights up on the side of the house with my evergreen tree out there. We do not discriminate. I hope you post a picture of your words because there is beauty in all when you are talking Christmas. Unadorned or over-decorated Oh, I love them all!I 🌲❤

Could you believe, my dear, that my place is completely decorated safe the tree...not bought yet lol. I left it for the weekend when the family is coming, so we do it together.

Actually, that sounds wonderful to me! The only reason mine got done so early is because I have family for Thanksgiving and we did most of it that weekend. I have been fussing with little details here and there we usually do our decorating together as a family at that time because there is usually a big Gathering. If my we're not coming till later, I would definitely wait just like you. After all, isn't it all about family?
