Wednesday Walk: LE RÊVE
For @tattoodjay's Wednesday Walk challenge, I want to share the beautiful colors of an aquatic show I watched at The Wynn in Las Vegas, Le Rêve (Cirque du Soleil).
I took all photos using my iphone6 and were taken before the show. Photos and videos were strictly prohibited during the actual show iteself, but I did manage to get a very short video snippet, at the very end of the show, as well as one dramatic stunt at the middle of the show which is found at the end of this article.
LE RÊVE - THE DREAM
Le Rêve – The Dream was voted by the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association as the "Best Production Show" in Las Vegas for a record-breaking nine consecutive years.
It is the only Las Vegas show set in an aquatic theater-in-the-round stage using more than greater than 1 million US gallon water capacity. The show features diving and feats of strength with special effects, including fire effects, dancing, synchonized swimming, gymnastics, diving and stunt performances.
Over the years, Olympic athletes and notable gymnasts have joined the cast of performers.
There are no dialogue on this show. The story is told using incredible background of music and singing, fountains, lighting fixtures and outstanding lighting effects, and fire-shooting devices and of course, the world-class props.
The central theme includes a female lead who see-saws back and forth between her dueling desires for love and passion, mind or body, as she finds herself attracted to two men.
Put into a dream world to help her decide between the two suitors, she embarks on a mystical journey.
The entire show is all about her dream.
The first of two suitors is a very passionate guy.
He is depicted by lighting colors of reds, oranges and blacks and fire!
His passion is shown by fast paced music and dancing and lots of hoisting the prformers up and down the ceiling and action filled stunt and diving, including this dramatic straight dive from the highest part of the ceiling dropping to the water 30 feet below captured in this video snippet.
The other suitor is calmer and mellow, his colors are in cool, blue colors, yellows and muted orange. The background used in depicting this suitor was likewise mellow and smooth.
In the end, the feamle lead choses the less passionate, less fiery, and calmer suitor.
I also managed to capture part of the finale of the show where all the flowers bloom and open to how they were on the first photos above before the show started.

Wow... The first picture got me 😍 soo beautiful and I love the bright colors.
But then I se The rest and its a show... And that looks like such a cool show with lots of colors and I love the water coming up.
I know Vegas has some cool things, but this was truly awsome and something I think I would have enjoyed 😁 lol
Love The story and that last gif just is stunning, must have been a cool experience.
