My Actifit Report Card: May 25 2019
A walk around Milford
Today I wasn't planning on going for much of a walk, I was thinking taking it easy today and staying at home would be good to give my foot a chance to heal, but it was such a beautiful day.
The sun was shining which reminded me I should get some sunblock which I try to remember to use whenever I am out walking in the sun with the history of skin damage I have had, so I thought why not just walk downtown and pick some up, So here are some shots of the walk.
This is one of our City Fire Stations on New Haven Avenue,

Then I continued on past the Memorial Walkway by Lisman Landing, I know it looks desertered, but i just got lucky at this time with no one walking along the pathway, just after I took this shot a group of about 6 people started walking up there.

As I crossed the bridge over the water, it was good to see the Docks or berths were full, its that time of year every weekend all these berths will be full with boats,

And now I pass the tennis courts totally empty at this time, its not often I walk by them in the middle of the day often in the evenings I will see many playing there.

And now walking through downtown I passed my favorite shop, of course it is a camera shop, and in fact it was an advert for this shop that brought us to discover Milford and soon after move here, I was heading on a trip a few years back, and my camera bag ripped as I was loading it into the car, and I remember seeing the sign on the highway for Milford Photo, so I said lets see if we can make it there before they close at 8 PM and buy a new bag, which we did and then as we were driving through the downtown area heading back to the highway we both said at the same time this place is so charming, so we stopped on the way back and talked to a real estate agent and a few weeks later moved here.
It was closed so I didn't have to resist going in and checking it out today, but I purposely skipped walking by the Ice Cream Shop as I know I would have been to tempted to grab one.

My Walk took me past city hall, and the statue of the soldier seemed fitting to get a shot of sinc eit is Memorial Day weekend.

So my short walk, wasn't to long but also wasn;t to short either at just under 2 miles, and guess what, I forgot to walk to the Pharmacy and get sunblock which was my whole reason for the walk.

It will be fine, I didnt walk to far on it yesterday so its improving, now to try and do the same today :)
Great photos as always of your walks. I can see why you immediately fell in love with the place and moved there. I didn't realize there was an activity called Photowalking on the actifit app! Learn something new every day.

Today I did pass by it and took a photo but managed to be strong and not get int he queue to get an ice cream I just walked on by :)
That’s even stronger discipline! You saw and resisted! Love it!!!
Having a goal make sit easier and My Stepson and grandson were visiting later in the day and I knew i would slip a bit with them so I decided to wait for them and had a small soda , so not totally strong lOL
HAHAHH:P willpower usually diminishes as the day goes on... and it only gets harder when there’s company around:P i feel ya!:P
LOL yeah thats true, I allow myself one small bottle of Soda on the weekend, so I saved it for while they were here, compared to how much Soda I used to drink one small bottle a week isnt to bad, or at least thats what I tell myself

it gives a chance to feel almosphere and ordinary life of places where you have never been yet. I will wait for more;)

It truly is such a beautiful town, if I do as I plan and go to see the Memorial Day parade I should for sure get some sunscreen, but i will try and resist getting an icecream I am trying to lose weight ;)

Lovely town! My iwatch doesnt’t have a map feature or maybe I don’t know how to get it, I must google it. I like to see a map of my walking, it’s cool. And you forgot to buy the sunscreen, ha ha, it happens to me all the time. I go to the supermarket to buy something specific and I come home with many bags and forgetting that specific thing.
If you have an iphone you do have it in the activity app, but you need to turn it on when out for walk, you do that by saying to Siri on your watch Activity Walk, and it will come up and just select outdoor walk, it will track your walk on your watch, and then when you finish the walk just stop the activity ( scroll right I think) then clock stop
then on your phone open the activity app and workouts at the bottom and you can see the walks and opening on you see the map
