For this weeks post I thought I would share Some shots of some of the Street vendors around NYC

Starting with a smaller vendor, seelling Roasted nuts such as Cashews, Peanuts Almonds and even coconut.

But maybe you have been walking around and want something more than nuts and perhaps a drink as well, then these two stalls may be for you, one selling coffee, bagels muffins etc, and the other freshly made fruit juices, which is infact probably the type of street vendors I but things from most often and in almost every case I have tried them the freshly made fruit juices are excellent

Now if you want something a bit more substantive then perhaps Stuffed baked potatoes are what you may want to go for. my Wife likes baked Stuffed potatoes but I have to admit its something I never order. not sure I have ever tried one actually come to think of it

Another option you could try is Jerky, this one had Chicken Pork and Stwed Oxtail varieties.

Street Food! My favorite! I'm pretty sure you think I'm nuts, no pun intended, but I really do enjoy some of the street food. I want to say that New York City was the first place I ever had as food from a cart and it has been a love affair ever since. I will admit to having had some pretty terrible stuff but it does have its place.
I have actually never seen the nut guy and now I'm jealous that there is one now that I no longer inhabit those streets on a regular basis. I will admit the hot dogs were my favorite. I'm pretty sure you could not go to New York City without having one.
It's pretty interesting how these trucks have become part of the landscape and so have their paint jobs! How much more alluring they had become with their bright colors calling us. Come to me! Come to me! Who could resist? As for the juice, yes! I have found even here in the Washington DC area, the juice carts rule! I am certainly sure that I have never tried a baked potato and I'm not sure that I ever will. That just sounds like something I need to do at home okay. I have never been a fan of jerky, but I know everybody else in my family loves it. I love the fact that they put all over the truck that you can buy it online! Brooklyn popcorn sounds like something I make it to try to. I can even even order online! You can't beat that with a stick.
Thank you for always putting in such a wonderful and interesting post for Market Friday. We all love following you around and seeing what you were up to. I appreciate the time and effort spent putting these posts together.
#MarketFriday loves you!

I dont think people are nuts I generally know, after all they say it takes one to know one :) but of course no I am not saying i think your nuts :)
I have eaten from street vendors all over the world, often against recommendations, so NY wasnt the first for me but it seriously is the best without a doubt
I have seen a few nut guys around ( that just sounds so wrong as I type it) generally in the warmer months I seldom see them over winter
I think with so many of them now the paint jobs are part of catching peoples attention and drawing in customers, I think it works well they catch my eye, even though I do not eat from them to often these days
Dont hate me but popcorn is just somehting I have never got into not sure why but I will always get something else if others get popcorn
Hope your Saturday is going well
PS no thanks needed i love joining Market Friday :)
Haha! I like saying popcorn for the @popcornexpress to come by! :)
Thanks again! I knew you were nuts! ;) Saturday is going swimmingly. No work, so how bad could it be?
Of course, when I say that New York City was my first truck, I did not say that I was only 3 or maybe 4. If it was any younger, I would have no way of knowing. The first two times it was a hot dog and then a pretzel. I had just finished seeing a show at Radio City Music Hall.
My parents loved music.
I wasnt aware that saying popcorn would raw the popcorn express, I was wondering about that LOL
the NYC Hotdogs are the best whenever I used to go in with Lulu and Mark hotdogs had to be our first stop whatever we were going in to do, and with Mark Ideally they would have been the 3rd 5th 7th Etc etc stops LOL
Yes!! Hotdogs rule!! Hot dog stand here just can't compare! We really should get out and say popcorn more often? Don't you think?
There you go saying popcorn again!
OI thought i would pop back onot my PC just to say popcorn LOL
and yes there is something special about NYC hotdogs especially in the parks
Oh, we are really throwing that popcorn around today! :)
LOL

Beautiful photography as always!
Thanks kindly :) it is a hobby I love ;)
you have to try a baked potato.
i used to have curry chicken filling, but the prawns filling was good too.
Maybe one day I will try them actually I just remembered last time we went out for a meal with the family I had a baked sweet potato with cinnamon butter that was really nice
i wouldn't try from a street vendor though. got an easily upset tummy
I am lucky with all my travels I have a pretty strong stomach for the most part
Pretty and colorful photos of street Vendors. I like this type of photography. Good work
Thanks I try to mix up the content and style of my posts :) appreciate the feedback
That’s a cool collection of street food vendors. I noticed the first photo was shot with your 6500. Are you still using both camera bodies or was that one older?
I still use it if I am doing an event or parade when I take both cameras but in this case it is an older shot :)
I did wonder if anyone looks at the settings so thanks for knowing at least you do :)
I’m still learning to shoot in manual mode so I do pay attention to the settings. Thanks for including them.
I use manual occasionally, but for the most part use either Aperture or shutter priority modes, but going manual occasionally keeps me thinking about what I am doing, and is also why I like when others including the settings I always take a look and see what I can learn :)
I look at the settings!! I always wonder what you used!!! :) Oh!! did I forget to say I love popcorn??

Want to have your post on the map too?
I should not have seen this whilst I was hungry..lol! I'm with your wife on the stuffed baked potato. Years ago there was a mall stand called The Great Potato and I loved getting the chili and cheese stuffed potato. Miss that place but I make them myself occasionally or put one together at Wendy's. Enjoyed your post Jay and love the colorful photos!!
the Chilli and cheese does sound very interesting, I remembered after doing this post that I was slightly off saying I have never had one when I was with the family and out for a meal recently I did get a baked sweet potato with cinnamon butter and it was real nice so I may try a standard baked stuffed potato soon,
Sorry if I made you hungry
I really appreciate street vendors/food trucks. I have a nephew that has one and I know how extremely hard he works to make a living.
Ohh yes I must admit all the work and dealing with people and their I am more important than anyone else attitude that is a job I would not want
