Spring has sprung
Spring has sprung
Spring has been very wet and damp so far but we have had a few days where the sun has made an appearance and the flowers are popping up here and there, and for this post, I thought I would share a few shots of some flowers I have taken shots of recently.
I would love your thoughts on these shots as some of them I am not so sure what I think of them, particularly the fourth one.
That said I guess I did like them since I am sharing them :)
Lets just start with a simple and often overlooked dandelion

And then a lovely pure white tulip, often we are drawn to the more colorful flowers but this one stood out so beautifuly even without any vivid colors.

Now I am not sure what these flowers are, they were on a Bush in Tudor city, and I will admit the sun had dried off the rain drops when I saw this one, so I used the little water spritzer bottle I carry with me at this time of year in my camera bad and added the water drops myself

Now this shot didn't really come out as I was hoping with the Depth of field being such a tiny area in focus, but there is something about this shot that I still liked and I am not sure what, to be honest, so I decided to share it anyway.
I think these are called Pansies but I could be wrong

And finishing off with a close in shot of the stamens inside this flower

Thanks for the resteem :)
These are simply beautiful! I love the yellow dandelion, because this is a flower that is so common, but when you really look at it close up, it's an intricate and complex creation, with the deep yellow heralding the approaching summer.
The white tulip is just arresting - the white shade seems to give it texture. I love the voluptuous shape and vibrant deep pink of the third flower - I've no idea what it is either. But my favourite is the pansy. I just love those lilac/purple shades! I respond very strongly to colour, and I've often tried to capture the colour of lilac flowers. I've never succeeded in capturing it on film. You've certainly succeeded - it's gorgeous. I also love the contrast with the yellow, and the intricate details that are magnified. It looks as if it's been sprinkled with sugar or ice crystals!
Thanks for such a kind and thoughtful comment
I agree the dandelions when you really look at them are such an interesting flower but also so often overlooked and considered more of a weed than a flower which is. Shame
I love how you described the white tulip
as I said int post I wasn’t sure about the shot of the violet so hearing your nice comment on it gave me such a huge smile , people in the office seeing my smiling like this will wonder what I am up to LOL
I did also see the crusts like effect I am not sure i noticed it on the flower itself but do love how that came out in the shot
Thanks again

I like them all JJ, the one you were so worried about looks like an
African Violet (some call them Monkey Face) but they were
All very nice, Keep 'em coming my friend. @tattoodjay
Thanks for the feedback my friend,I was fairly sure it was a type of violet, Y Mum always insisted my Dad had them in the garden she loved them but i didnt know which type it was
I always love your photos no matter what the subject is. I love the simplicity of the shots and the fact that some subtle details are in all of them. The Pansy looks like it is floating in the cosmos with the light reflecting on the droplets. Pretty Cool!
Thanks such a kind comment is truly appreciate
Have a great day

I love the 4th one. It stands out from the rest :)
Thanks I wasn't so sure about that one to be honest I loved it but wasn't sure what others would think since such a small amount was in focus
Its a good shot, well done :)
Thanks so much :)
Yes, the fourth one is really awesome. I like the last one as well. I can't believe how fast the dandelions jumped out soon after I cut the lawn for the second time this year.
Thanks for your feedback IT is appreciated its good to know what others think
They grow so fast don’t they just pop up everywhere
The closer shots are gorgeous. Very nice:)
Thanks Kindly :)
Nice macro! That fourth one looks like an insect from Jupiter!
Thanks and I love that description of the fourth one :)
The blurriness of the purple on makes it look like the flower is vibrating and causing the water droplets to float in the air.
That is an interesting and cool take on it thanks for that 👍😎
