This daily update represents a compilation of the recent news, updates and projections about our Actifit project, including top actifitters for the preceding voting cycle, as well as updates on our account and delegations !
Latest Version Required
As we move further down the road of implementing new functionality and increased security measures, we tighten the requirements for report submissions and hence need to drop support for older versions.
We found several potential abuses which could be related to older versions of Actifit, and hence if you still have an older version of Actifit, you will need to upgrade your app to be able to post.
Keep in mind upgrading should not lead to any data loss on your end.
Supporting @AdventureReady's new cool #AutomaticWin competition!
Recently, our friend and great athlete/coach @wil.metcalfe had come up with the concept of #automaticwin to further incentivize ppl to get active in early morning and reach 10K activity.
Today a new competition was launched in light of this. You can check out the details here
Actifit will support this competition also via setting 1,000 AFIT tokens as reward, spread equally to how the original post assigned them. Also we will upvote winners accordingly.
So for example, first position will win 35 STEEM from the @adventureready account, Actifit will also award 350 AFIT tokens and 35% upvote. And so on and so forth.

Delegation Status
Per the new reward system, we would like to reiterate that the amount of delegated SP has a large influence over not only the daily/weekly delegation reward, but also on the amount of reward the actifitter receives on his daily post, as it constitutes a key element in his User Rank.
Which is why being an Actifit delegator now has more influence on your rewards, coupled with number of AFIT tokens and the other factors listed before.
Add to that, and a key important item that will benefit Actifit by receiving more delegation is the ability to claim and create more user accounts. At the moment, Actifit is claiming around 12 account spots per day. Although this is a good start, yet the number is still small compared to the potential that Actifit has to bring in masses. Simply another reason to delegate to Actifit!

Delegators share a max cap of 100K AFIT tokens according to their delegation amount, and also earn a 5% beneficiary reward from actifit posts' beneficiary earnings.
Since many ask, here we describe again an easy way to calculate your AFIT tokens for a full day of delegations:
(Your Delegated SP) * 100,000 AFIT MAX / (Actifit Account Delegated SP - without account own SP and any delegators who opted out).
So for instance if you had delegated 100 SP, your daily earnings would be around:
100 * 100,000 / 145,000 = 68.96 AFITs

When you are looking to increase your delegation, you need to use the new total amount as the delegation amount, and not only the increased amount. Otherwise only the new amount will be used, and the remaining amount will be undelegated.
To delegate, you can use any of the following links:
10SP, 20SP, 30SP, 50SP, 100SP, 250SP, 500SP, 1,000SP, 5,000SP, 10,000SP, 20,000SP, Custom Amount
Make sure you have at least 15 SP left on your account.

One question regarding the ranking: what does the number mean? My ranking changed from 30 to 22. Is this good, or bad? I have no clue about how this change, and also I do not know if the change is good or bad... Can anyone help with more info?

Your rank is dynamic, correct. It is affected by 4 factors: amount of delegated SP, total AFIT token acquired, total rewarded posts, and recent rewarded posts.
I believe a drop would mean you haven't recently been as active as before, which lead to your rank dropping.
Thanks for the answer! Yes, in the last days I was unable to post (first an error with the application, than I just missed the midnight deadline). So, greater is better, isn't it? By the way, why not allowing to post also some data from the past? I had 13k steps when the bug prevented me to post on the blockchain... This data was never published. Wound't it be ok to allow users to publish data also after midnight, with the condition that the data was not published before? I'm thinking the technically this should be possible with some kind of SHA over the date of the report, and some phone tracking info stored in the database for each report...

I have a very active job that sometimes i walk anywhere from 1-3 miles/day.
I'm also a runner.
The app ONLY picks up my running even with aggressive tracking it shows none of my walking from work. .... please help

You might want to check if "battery saving mode" is enabled for Actifit on your phone. Alternatively there is also a "doze mode" on some devices that could prevent Actifit from properly tracking your activity.

Can someone use the accounts you claimed? Or does a person still need to go to the full steemit account application process?
These claimed accounts can be used to create new free accounts on Steem. Actifit will handle the creation process, not Steemit. The claimed accounts are Actifit's to use, and no one else's, they are not transferable. But Actifit can create a free account for someone, using one claimed account per new account created.

I don't know if you're interested in bringing more fitness enthusiasts on board, but I have a friend @generalandrews who's got 7500 followers on Twitch and really into fitness.
Much of his stream is tailored toward fitness commands like !flex and !gainz. Perhaps Actifit could find an incentive for people like this to promote Actifit and vice versa?
We certainly are interested in expanding to further audience.
Although we are still taking bringing new ppl slowly as new account slots are still too small for Actifit (we only were able to claim around 130 slots since HF20).
But of course any promotion is helpful. Since your friend is on Steemit already we can definitely reward any promotional activity he does in both upvote and AFIT tokens as we normally do.
