My Actifit Report Card: March 7 2019

in #actifit5 years ago

It was cold and snowy today and slushy walking back from the dentist office. I managed to stay warm but was a bit wet by the time I got home.

I didn't get a chance to do much else today for exercise. At least the duck pond wasn't completely frozen over.

It sounds like it should be warming up soon and I don't think this small amount of snow will be staying on the ground for long.

The rest of the day I mostly traded crypto and learned about things. Cryptopia is looking more hopeful about opening back up and at least you can check your balance there. My coins are at least showing up on the books, I guess I didn't have anything worth stealing, lol.

Seeing all the homeless people recently has got me thinking about why housing costs so much. Just the base price on a simple house is so expensive and then you end up paying about three times that amount over the life of the loan in interest to the bank.

By the time you have paid off the loan the tax on the property is more than the original loan amount. Paying this amount at a time in your life when you are old and living on a fixed income is hard.

These high costs push up the cost of renting a house because someone has to pay the bank the interest on the loan in order to have some property to rent to someone else.

When I was younger I always thought there were many unfair things. Now I feel like it is all just a part of the system but we do have new opportunities now.

It feels to me like the long, so called, "crypto winter" is starting to thaw. Steem is rising in price along with many other key cryptocurrencies. It seems likely that many of the things we use the banking financial industry for will be available in other ways too.

I've heard that Kroger has dropped the use of Visa for payments and is looking into possible use of Bitcoin. It seems like a very interesting development.

Maybe I'm just dreaming but it really seems possible to eventually save up enough crypto to make a big purchase like a house without the need to pay interest for thirty years to a bank. It just seems like this would make low cost housing more available because a direct purchase of something is less expensive than paying interest on it.

It is exciting to see all these big changes.

Excellent posting dear @lightsplasher your photography is awesome thank you for shere....♥

Yeah I even did a post today on the seeming strength of Steem lately. Of course there may be some profit taking. I saw it trade up about .49, but seems to have eased off a bit now. Still we have been moving up the ranks!

Useful working and great photography
Thanks @lightsplasher
Have a nice day

Looking at the increasing number of people falling though the cracks these days and living on the streets in the parks, I have to say NO, the system we have is not doing well enough. Something has got to give. I wonder though if crypto will be able to reach those in the worse situation. Should be a being can live without forced to take part in any monetary system. I think in most developed places that is actually against the law. Funny world we live in.

But it is great news to see crypto, especially steem take a turn about. I really wish more people knew about us and got involved. Steemit is full of wonderful people and great blogs:) Here is a new Spring.

It seems to me that our involvement in crypto has the potential to lower the prices for commodities thus indirectly helping some of the people who have been put in bad situations. I think part of the situation stems from businesses not paying workers well and pricing rising with demand lowering. If people can't afford purchasing products it causes issues especially if they have to resort to predatory lending to get essential things like housing, food or medication. A pretty complex issue altogether though with many social aspects as well.

I think you have a point. The balance is out of whack. That is for sure. Not sure law-makers always have the majorities interests in mind.

Oh yes @lightsplasher, have snowed again, but spring has already come and I think spring is coming in the crypto world too, it's great!

Nice picture taken and also nice count

It is getting hot and humid here in my place @lightsplasher and I just needed it for my health.

I am sad about your country having homeless people considering the USA is a developed and rich nation but it just prefers to spend on military and prisons.

We are lucky here in our town because there is always amnesty on property tax so it is all cool.

I hope that cryptowinter for steem is over and at least it would go beyond the 1 dollar per steem then it will make my life even more easier thanks to God for crypto currencies.

Soon as crypto gets adopted by institutional investors we can just lean back and watch the money flow, well with some degree of effort from us still. :)

@lightsplasher, Snow is everywhere and i don't know why but it reflecting as slowly world is becoming Snowy World.

And particularly Home is dearest part for everyone and everyone wants a beautiful no matter how little the home is, but definitely in this world many forces making it difficult and free and Land Of Almighty became now paid and so much costly and so many people became homeless. No matter how people think about it but definitely at this point of time in this world Inhumanity is rising. Stay blessed.
