Epic Backcountry Trip to the North Cascades Wilderness - Video Teaser
Hi Friends!
I just got back from an incredible backcountry trip with some dear friends. I have so much incredible video to sort through - and so I thought I'd make a little teaser video for the upcoming video I'll be making. My friend Shari and I also recorded a 20 minute re-cap video on all of our adventures that I'll be sharing with you as well. Of course - we recorded right from the shore of the lake, where we were camping on the beach.
I hope you guys enjoy this little teaser video. I can't wait to share more of our backcountry adventures which included fishing, painting, yoga, ukulele playing, exploring a canyon, finding waterfalls and much more.
I think it is so good for the soul to get out of cell range for a few days and just enjoy the beauty of nature. We were so excited to bring a couple friends with us and have time to connect with them as well.
Ps... wait till you see the video of me and Shari doing a re-cap on the trip. She has an awesome personality for video and would be a great addition to the Steemit family if you ask me. ;)
I love living in such a beautiful area. The North Cascades Wilderness is literally in my back yard - less than a two hour drive from my apartment. I hope you guys enjoy this teaser video as I sort through all of the video footage and pictures from the weekend.

aww thanks @zainenn!! I've definitely been trying to work on my b-roll type footage lately. This lake sure made it easy on me... so much beauty everywhere!

omg that view is insane! you picked a heck of spot to go camping! The water looked amazing and the mountains were so beautiful! There are so many activities to do out there and I am super jealous right now. Great job on the video edit as well. Also, I am curious if you eat the fish you caught? I am teaching my students right now how to fish at summer camp.
Wow, that's so cool that you are teaching them how to fish! Such a valuable life skill.
I mostly just do catch and release. For that reason, I'm very conscious of using single, barbless hooks so that I can be as un-intrusive to the fish as possible. Sometime's I will keep the fish to eat. At first, I had a hard time killing the fish - but in that regard I also spent a lot of time researching the most humane way to kill the fish so that it suffers the least amount of pain.
I hope you are having fun at summer camp right now! That sounds pretty awesome!

I'm so glad you enjoyed the video @tmg1!! I used the slo-mo feature on my iPhone X to get the slow motion pieces. It's a nice little trick to get some cool looking footage. :)
