KABOOOM!! Aeternity (AE): 372% PROFIT Since @haejin's Analysis!! What's Next?
SUMMARY
On March 19th, Aeternity (AE/USD) was analyzed using Elliott Waves and Indicator. The below chart was posted showing that AE had placed five waves up (white). The correction looked very much like a Flat (3,3,5). The oversold state of the MACD was also noted as indicative of a turn or a trend reversal.
Since then, price swung upwards and screamed to as high as $5.49; pegging a 372% profit!! Not too shabby a return in less than TWO MONTHS!!! Now, take a look at the MACD (red circel). Would this be the time to be buying? IF you rode this up from wave 1 or 2 and current levels, is it time to be taking profits or buying more with open arms? Even if there is one more wave 5 higher, taking profits off the table is always the prudent and disciplined action. But such must be self made decisions!

I wonder, are you one of these people that think technical analysis is as meaningless as looking at tea leaves or finding patterns in clouds? Apologies if not, I've seen the sentiment popular in the anti-Haejin crowd for some reason, as if it's not enough to complain about issue of steemit rewards.
If you do have this view of technical analysis I would say to you this is the equivalent of saying there is no pattern in any of the chart data and therefore there's no analysis that could indicate anything about the price movement in the future. I often hear people critical of technical analysis say that you can't predict the future, except you can and you're doing it literally all the time. What we can't do is predict the future with absolute certainty, you can only identify patterns and say what appears to be happening. Analysing statistics isn't reading tea leaves, and that's all technical analysis is, a form of statistical analysis.
Those that say it's reading tea leaves don't even really believe that, because it would mean they're saying the chart tells them literally nothing and the chance of the price going up or down in any degree is exactly the same at all times.
Because the moment you think the chart is actually indicating something no matter how basic, that right there is still just a basic form of technical analysis.
