I wonder, are you one of these people that think technical analysis is as meaningless as looking at tea leaves or finding patterns in clouds? Apologies if not, I've seen the sentiment popular in the anti-Haejin crowd for some reason, as if it's not enough to complain about issue of steemit rewards.
If you do have this view of technical analysis I would say to you this is the equivalent of saying there is no pattern in any of the chart data and therefore there's no analysis that could indicate anything about the price movement in the future. I often hear people critical of technical analysis say that you can't predict the future, except you can and you're doing it literally all the time. What we can't do is predict the future with absolute certainty, you can only identify patterns and say what appears to be happening. Analysing statistics isn't reading tea leaves, and that's all technical analysis is, a form of statistical analysis.
Those that say it's reading tea leaves don't even really believe that, because it would mean they're saying the chart tells them literally nothing and the chance of the price going up or down in any degree is exactly the same at all times.
Because the moment you think the chart is actually indicating something no matter how basic, that right there is still just a basic form of technical analysis.
