I agree with your point of view. I believe that we need to focus on the concept of life itself and understand that this is something we need to protect and help it thrive, regardless if it takes the form of a human or a fly.

I really like that you went on the cultural side of things, this is also something very interesting The concept of ownership in humans also relates to other humans, even the idea of "my wife" or "my partner" implies a sense of ownership, this makes ownership of animals something easier to relate with. Plus the fact that we also have hierarchical structures that coerce us and this creates a framework in which we are inclined towards coercing other beings.

There are a lot of things that need to change in popular culture in order to have a clear conversation regarding animal rights, but this needs to be addressed now. I hope we find a good way, maybe 3d printing meat or other technological solution will help with this.

It is weird that these animals' rights for freedom is actually examined in the context of whether they are 'legal persons' or not. Just goes to show the speciesism that goes on in the world.

Its a funny subject this one. Where I agree; its odd to say they are human as they are clearly not. Personally I think we should treat them with respect as you say they are living animals just like us. To give them rights seems a little odd but I guess in this day and age when the sheeple can't think alone and only do what they are told then maybe we should. From my view I just think it goes without saying if we do't treat animals with respect that reflects on us through kama or just our personal wellbeing. But it also resonates around the globe and the common consciousness. It call comes down to changing the paradigm and the general way of thinking Until we can do this the balance will be unbalanced 💯🐒
