Bird, Incoming!
One foggy day at the beach I decided to photograph the seagulls since it was too foggy to see anything else. I thought this feller was going to try and fly into the camera... Taken at Kalaloch Beach, Olympic National Park, Washington USA.
This looks like a Red-tailed Hawk, but in this head-on view it is a bit tough to tell. I like your nature photography. Followed. You may enjoy my posts @birdbanter

Cooper's Hawk is the raptor, or possibly a Sharp-shinned Hawk. Both are accipiters, and can be nearly impossible to tell apart. I'm going by the appearance of the eyes being set forward on the head, and the longish looking tail. In a Sharp-shinned the head is smaller making it look like the eyes are set in the middle of the head. Both have long tails, but this looks like it has 4 stripes. I am not certain of the prey.
