New life of petals - #CCC
Last Sunday there was a big celebration in our family. My daughters received holy water baptism. From friends, they received many flowers as a gift. They became the material for this composition.
For a week, the flowers began to fall, but my daughter Lisa decided to give a second life to these flowers. Lisa in this photo is on her right hand, from the edge, from my daughters Anna, she is the eldest, and Rebekah, she is the youngest of the daughters.
Today, Liza feels bad about herself. Some kind of respiratory virus snatches us one by one. She wanted to draw, but she saw flowers and began to sort out the petals.
I did not know what she was doing.
After a while, she brought and showed me this work from rose petals and other flowers that started to dry.
I was delighted. I am delighted even now. I would not have thought of this.
Sometimes it seems to me that there is no material from which Lisa could not make a picture. She makes it easy and simple. It seems that the idea in her head was always, and the petals of roses, this is a Lego, where it is impossible to make a mistake, all the details are ideally suited to each other.
I just have to take pictures and write an article.

While I am typing this text, Lisa is already finishing the second composition of petals.

Another way to preserve bouquets is to dry the flowers and add a few drops of an essential oil. Then keep them in a sealed container (glass rather than plastic) for a week or so. Then put small amounts of this potpourri in bowls anywhere in the house to enjoy the fragrance!
And still another way, but a lot more work, is to make beads from the petals. Very fragrant jewelry!

I actually wrote a booklet on making potpourri, back when I had an herb shop! I sold all the ingredients and gave classes, it was a popular subject. (If you are really interested I can give you a link to its Kindle version on Amazon.) But I'm not here to promote that, and the basic information I suggested works well enough. Just petals and a bit of essential oil, keep sealed up for a while then enjoy. When the fragrance fades just add more scent, seal it up again, and repeat!
