Oil Painting "The Castle" and "The Citrus Project" ✎油畫《城堡》與“橘子計劃” | 月旦评

At the other side of the forest which is at the other side of the mountain, there is a mini kingdom, where candies blossom on trees and milk flows as rivers.

In the kingdom, there is a mini castle, whose walls are made of fresh baked cakes and gates are two thick chocolate bars.

In the castle, there is a mini princess, who wears a dress in tricolour and wild flowers in her hair. The three colours are strawberry, vanilla and cocoa; the flowers are those candies blossom on trees.

When travelers lose their way and step into her territory, the princess allows them to drink a little milk from the rivers. If they don't look too annoying, she will give them some treasures from the castle - most delicious pastry.

Once an artist went into a forest to paint the landscapes. He got lost and ran into the princess.

He drank some milk from the river. The princess looked at him and hesitated for a while. Finally she gave him half a broken cookie.

After the artist returned to the city, he recorded everything about the castle and the princess with his brushes.

在那山的那邊海的那邊，那邊的那邊，有一個小小的王國，樹上盛開糖果，河中流淌牛奶。

王國里有一座小小的城堡，墻是早晨新焙的蛋糕，門是兩塊厚厚的巧克力。

城堡里有一個小小的公主，她穿著草莓、香草、可可的三色裙，髪間綴滿的野花，正是樹上盛開的糖果。

有迷途的旅人來到這片領地，小公主會准許他們喝一點河中的牛奶。倘若看來人還算順眼，小公主會贈送一些城堡裏的寶藏——最好吃的甜點。

曾有一個畫畫的人，到森林去寫生。緣溪行，忘路之遠近，偶遇小公主。

那人喝過河中的牛奶，小公主看了看他，猶豫再三，最後給了半塊碎餅乾。

那人回到城市後，用畫筆記錄下了城堡和小公主的模樣。

✎The Citrus Project
"The Castle" is the first piece of an experimental painting series entitled as "The Citrus Project".
In the experiments I try to combine classical oil painting techniques with originally designed fairy tale style characters and scenes, seeking a fresh aesthetic closer to humanity.
Like a farmer growing citrus, my works might be simple fruits but they are fresh, clean, healthy and organic.

✎橘子計劃
《城堡》是一組實驗繪畫的第一件成品。在這實驗中，我嘗試將古典油畫技法結合原創童話式人物造型與情節設計，尋求更近人情人性的清新之美。這一探索項目定名為“橘子計劃”。
像一個栽種橘子的果農，也許我的作品只是些簡單的水果，但它們一定是新鮮，乾淨，健康的有機食品。
