Girl by the window - My painting
One of my painting from the past.
I really like the feeling of this one.
It is raining outside.. she is home alone
with the cat. Somehow i have the
feeling it is at christmas night.
I am not sure why. Maybe the big
contrast of the "cold outside and warm
inside".
What do you think?
What kind of feeling does it evoke in you ?
The painting makes me wonder. What are they watching ? Maybe just the lighting. I love watching the lighting streak across the sky during a rain storm. Do you ?
Nice drawings ..it's really awesome ..I can relate to this picture alot because I could remeber a time I used to be alone as a little kid , and watch out the window when its rain is falling hoping someone would come home soon...

Sometimes some talks are not expressed.... in my thoughts.... sometimes I want to expand some moments just alone.... and I saw the window just like the painting... I don’t know what I am thinking.... just standing.... your painting is beautiful and very nice color combination.....

The red definitely creates a feeling of warmth and is a festive colour. As I live in the southern hemisphere it doesn't feel like Christmas to me. Red sunburnt skin is a Christmas vibe where I am, with the window wide open and hoping for a southerly breeze.
They appear to be waiting in hope of company. It is not necessarily a lonely or sad scene, I think the cat compensates well for companionship, they have a nice comfortable rapport with each other, I think they are accustomed to just being the two of them and are OK with that.
But on this particular evening they appear to be expecting someone special.

yep, this one makes me happy! and reminds me of when our cat and dog would join forces and stand at the window and growl at the mailman together. The only time they were on the same page lol.
