Beat Battle League Official Thread
The entries are coming in for Week One of the Steemit Beat Battle League. 60 SBD and 205 Whaleshares are up for the taking. Judging and supporting the Beat Battle with their time and resources are: @chiefmappster , @tuck-ftheman , @jphenderson , @anomadsoul , and @derekmiller

Remember all Beat Battle League entries are judged on Sound Quality, Technicality, and Creativity. Winners will be announced Thursday night (EST). It was originally Wednesday night but we are pushing it back a day to allow the Spanish Steemit producers a chance to enter.
There will also be a comprehensive analysis of all entries into the Beat Battle League posted Thursday so that all participants can receive critical feedback with the goal of helping the music producers of Steemit grow to their fullest potential.

@shakazula is leading the way so far out of this week's entries. In my opinion, it is a flawless execution of a Beat Battle League entry. He describes in detail how he made the beat, visually shows how he made the beat with a video, and killed the beat. Props to @shakazula these other Steemit producers have a challenge on their hands. I spent nearly 15 years in the music business. I’ve done every job there is from street team work and every other form of promotions to being an executive. I have a background in music theory, production and writing. Over the years I’ve worked mostly for one record label but have worked with a number of different genres.
To the winner I will offer my services to help you reach the next level. I am offering a one hour consultation toward getting you to the next level. Consultation includes the following:
A&R (artist and repertoire)
a. is it a hobby or a passion?
d. what sets you apart?
e. is there a message of continuity?
Material and Merch
a. do you have a logo, a brand and if so is it clearly defined
b. is the merch being sold relatable to your fan base
c. do you have a fan club/mailing list
d. how often do you create create new material
e. how often do you network and to what degree?
f. have you had placement for any of your products before?
Public Relations
a. do you have interview etiquette skills?
b. what are you doing to better/heighten public awareness?
c. at what level are your networking abilities?

Links no longer than 3 minutes long.
Make sure to put a tag of your Steemit username in the beat so we know you created it.
Post can include information on how you created the beat.
Link must be submitted by 11:59PM EST / UTC 4:00 AM every Tuesday
You can also post your link on your own blog, but in order for your submission to be judged more efficiently and effectively, you will need to submit it directly on the blog post.
Still post it up on your blog for your followers to see though, and don't forget to use the #beatbattle tag as the first tag in your post.

So I have to use one of the sample-songs? Because I usually prefer to create Instrumentals without using any samples ^^
I used to create beats with Garage - Band in my IPad:

Well I started doing music with playing guitar, then I started writing, came to Rap and Hip Hop music and I thought I need to produce my own beats. Things just kept going ^^ Now I'm here on steemit :D
