Happy Wine Trail Wednesday presents Hazlitt on Seneca Lake (with Mama Dreemit)
One of the oldest vineyards/winery in the region, it also happens to be my favorite. Mostly because it caters to the immature palette with a large variety of semi-dry and sweeter wines. I am attempting to broaden my horizons by trying drier wines, but I find myself drawn to the bursts of fruit in my mouth that more sugar tend to give. Truth is, I may always prefer beer, of which I am a connoisseur like @meesterboom, but I do enjoy the atmosphere of wineries.

Each place has its own unique atmosphere and style...
An eclectic array of people...
And the flavors of a gift shop...
But most importantly a wine tasting that will make you giddy in the middle of the day...
All of their labels are colorful and feature kitties...Cabin Fever is their answer to White Zinfandel
The tasting consists of six choices for five bucks and a token that gives you a three dollar discount on a bottle of wine

Oh yummy, with hints of peach among the grapes and 11% ABV, fun times had by all (well at least by me since I'm taking this baby home!)
One of the coolest things about this winery is the seasonal building they put up next door- I ran out of time today, but join me tomorrow as I head to The Oasis, with fire, food, and beer!

I see some familiar faces there! I'm still looking for a wine that doesn't put me to sleep-- it almost always makes me groggy.
It used to be that way for me, now I find as long as I don't drink it when I'm already a little tired or too late in the evening I'll get a nice happy buzz :)
I'm just not drinking early enough. As they say, 'you can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.' ;)
I would love to go on a wine tasting trip.

Wine touring is a lot of fun, and our area has so many to choose from, I'm fortunate here :)

That is yet another awesome looking Winery, you totally have the coolest looking ones up there. I would have totally gone for the red cat!

As much as I want to dedicate myself to the driest of wines, I always gravitate towards the light fruity variety. Does that make me less of a man? Perhaps. But, it makes me one happy camper. One happy camper indeed!

I don't like beer or wine XD Winery trips are definitely fun though, nice day out, pretty chill, and they usually have good atmosphere. I only ever go sometimes with my mother in law when we feel like having a grand day out, she loves her wines like you and boomy love your beers XD
Which reminds me I should probably take her to a tea house or a winery sometime, if she'll let me! (occasionally we try to take her out and then she insists on paying for everything and we're like OI we're trying to take you out here! XD)
No beer or wine? Are you a fruity mixed drink girl? I like those on occasion too ;0) But these places are great even if you're not drinking- like the one I'll be posting today which is an addition to this-- it has food! Nom nom!
Ugh, I have the same problem, it's like my mom is uncomfortable with being paid for! Occasionally she'll let me, but otherwise I'm quite spoiled by her on our outings :)

Never? Or did you have a bad experience or two? Nah, it doesn't mean you're boring, one of our closest friends has never drank a drop- and he makes a very handy designated driver, lol!
