Last weekend

I think I still had some pictures to share!

Last weekend, we went out for dinner on saturday, just the two of us. Then on sunday, we went to the amusement park with my sisters in law and our little nephew. Let's start with saturday!

I had found a restaurant I wanted to try, but once we got into town and found the restaurant, it was full inside and I didn't want to sit outside in other people's smoke. So, after standing in the town square, looking a little lost, we decided to try the restaurant on the other side of the street. Yes, there was room inside!

We felt a little out of place, because everyone in there was dressed very nicely, while we... were not. Oh well, who cares anyway.

Hubby went for the day special, which was very delicious fish, while I went for the spareribs!

They were delicious, though they can't beat the ribs you can order in this country from Sparerib Express, but hey, they are focussed on spareribs only, so you can expect perfect ribs from there, right?

I decided to be smart about things and not eat until I couldn't eat anymore, which would result in me feeling crappy and not enjoying the after-meal time. So I asked for a doggybag for the ribs I couldn't finish. I was sad I wasn't able to have dessert, though the smart side of me told me it was super expensive anyway. 8 Euros per dessert. I can buy a super delicious chocolate cake in the grocery store for 5! So I promised myself I was allowed to do that instead.

I haven't so far.

Here's a picture I took in town after dinner.

We took a little detour going back to the car, because I wanted to show one of the shops to hubby. It meant walking back through this cute little street filled with flowers!

The next day, my sisters in law came to pick us up for a day at the amusement park close by. Close by as in, it's a 5 minute drive from here to there. So we have season passes for three of us and our nephew is young enough to be allowed in free of charge.

We first went for a ride in my favorite roller coaster and then got into a 'garden tour', where you just drive around slowly in cars.

One of my sisters in law's goal of the day was to get her sister to ride in a scary roller coaster. We picked one, but the lines were too long, so we decided to skip it. My other sister in law was quite happy to dodge the bullet there. It wouldn't last though...

A few of us played Pokemon Go a little during our time there. We picked some rides our little nephew could go into and we picked some rides for the grown ups to enjoy. There was always one of us not wanting to go in a particular ride to stay with our nephew.

The park was already set up for the Halloween event which starts this week, so I had to take this picture:

A throne of skeletons!

We had tiny pancakes (poffertjes) for lunch and got into a water ride at some point. Luckily this time, we didn't get very wet! Nephew had a great time in this ride and was sad to hear we wouldn't go again. The lines were just too long.

For our last ride, we went to my favorite roller coaster again. My sister in law wouldn't let her sister get out of this one! So the three of us lined up. Feeling extra evil that day, my sister in law let her sister walk in front through the scary halls towards the roller coaster, to make sure she would get extra jumpy before getting into the roller coaster.

We all survived the ride and after it, we headed back home.

It was a nice weekend filled with fun (and Pokemon Go)!
