Daily Dose of Sultnpapper 6/9/18 > Saturday Basic Income or is it Steem Basic Income ? It's both.
If you have been following along with me for the last few Saturdays or more I’ve been using the Saturday Daily Dose to give back to people on the platform by sponsoring people into the Steem Basic Income program. This Saturday is no different in that I will again do that again. I’m not even going to try and make it funny and do the “double” by using some clever and witty lines about the folks and then throw a Comedy Open Mic tag on it and enter their contest round. I have been so far removed this week from what is going on I don’t even know what round of the competition that they are on over there.
I am in the middle of boxing match with an old fellow named Van, first name is Dodge. Dodge Van and I have been almost like family. Dodge Van and I haven’t been seeing “eye to eye” lately and this week he decided to pick a fight with this old man. I trusted that this fellow would fight fair and while it started fair it has quickly escalated into pretty much a bar room brawl.
This week I had another “double zero” event here on the platform. Double zero events are where followers reach another “hundred” level in case you aren’t up to speed with how I categorize things. This week was my seventh one, so I just pasted the 700 mark, I just took a peek and it tells me I’m at 707. I have since the 300 level given a little surprise to the followers who happen to land on my blog in the double zero positions. Despite having so many bots on here my followers who have landed on double zero since I started that haven’t been bots up until recently.
Hitting 700 has taken some time and the last week leading up to it was sort of a “cat and mouse” game because of a couple bots named @hottopic and @sezenke. These two would follow me and then un-follow me, and then follow and un-follow again. It was like they were trying to position themselves to be number 700, so for the better part of a week I teetered just below the 700 mark at 697, 698, and 699. But as soon as 699 hit, one or the other would un-follow me and drop it back to 698. Well another bot named @allnatural must have seen what was going on and kind of lay in the weeds waiting to make its move, and when @sezenke popped the 699 number and, before it could un-follow me, @allnatural jumped in and claimed the 700 number. Sneaky little bastards these bots are, in fact, that @allnatural bot isn’t all that sneaky because with a REP of -4 it must have been caught doing some things on the platform that just aren’t appreciated by the masses.
No way in hell am I going to reward a bot with a negative REP, if I were to do that I might as well just tear all the salt and papper packets open and pour them on the ground and leave here. So then I had to try and figure out what to do and who to give too. By the time this gets posted, which is again “late” by my standards, I will have donated the $0.70 steem to the charity effort run by @hopehuggs. She will also be receiving a sponsorship from me in the SBI program now that I think about it, she does so much for her community and the groups she is involved with here on the platform.
The other two SBI recipients this week are going to a couple folks that I just happened upon this week, or I should say, happened upon me. I haven’t had time to do anything with exploring and finding new folks because Dodge and I have been fighting every night. Last night’s fight was so intense I couldn’t even think of turning on the computer and publishing this dose.
@tamala is another person who happened by this week, I think she is a new member of the group I belong to, @thesteemengine, so welcome young lady to the group. Also @fun2learn is the last of my folks I am sponsoring this week in SBI. Normally, I wouldn’t sponsor folks I just met, but I am way off from normal this week. Normally I am kicking ass and taking names, this week I have been getting my ass kicked. First Mother Nature and now Dodge Van, anyone else want a piece of me? Now is the time if you do.
Before I go back to the fight I would like to mention one other person, and if you haven’t met this person on here I highly suggest you do, that person is @paparodin. This young man showed up here on steemit a couple weeks ago and he paid me a visit thanks to @abbak7, and I do me thanks D.C. (abbak7). Papa is talented, sharp, and can tell a good story. He also looks at things from different angles and I like that, he almost reminds myself of me when I was forty years younger. He just wrote a piece this week, a book review, on a speed reading book he had read. That piece caught the eye of a Curie person and he got a real nice up vote from those folks over there. I enjoyed reading his works he has published thus far and I think you might as well, he said he is committed to writing one piece a day, does that sound familiar? No wonder I like this newbie, @paparodin.

Those bots are like a pack of zombies trying to get into everyone's following list. Not sure about those follow unfollow flippers though. Maybe they have a bug in them haha....
Also it's very nice that you sponsored folks into SBI. I knew about it for awhile but only recently started to sponsor as well. It's a great way to spread to people that we believe deserve more. Certainly the reciprocal share isn't too shabby either :)

You need to take some time and regroup, @sultnpapper. Every once in a while I need to do the same. Running on fumes just doesn't work too well, especially for my old engine! lol
I am about to get back to normal now, but you are right, fumes are all that's left when you are out of gas.
