What’s your favorite?

Stuck in fantasy land

You know that book you can't put down. That show you can watch over and over again. I define a favorite as the ability to watch a show, book, or movie multi times. Some are one time hit wonders. You watch or read that book or movie and it is awesome, but you wouldn't do it again. You might rewatch or re-read some of your favorite scenes, but that is it. My favorite movie is The great debaters and freedom writers. Have you heard of these?

Every so often, I get stuck on a genre of movies. This time it is Asian Drama. Specifically Korean and Chinese. How they managed to hook me is unreal. I should blame my father. He loves watching soap operas and it must come from his side of his family, lol. Mom enjoys it a bit too, she will often watch a few episodes with me. She quickly becomes impatient and wants to watch the ending. Little does she know, that most of the dramas I don't enjoy I fast forward and only watch the highlights. It has become part of my ratings to see how often I hit the fast-forward button. Let's just say, if I am hitting that button on the first episode. Then it will only increase from there. This hasn't happened more than once that I can remember.

My list of Dramas to watch.

Received a rate on imbd of 8.0/10 and higher.

Innocent man,

Goblin,

Pinocchio,

Heartstring,

Love in the moonlight,

Rush to the dead summer,

That Winter, the Wind Blows,

While you were sleeping (watching now)

Watched and review

The legend of the blue sea, main actor from heirs and boys over Flowers. The acting was great, the story was great, and I even enjoyed the other love stories. They flashback to Korean medieval times was very enjoyable. The main actress I loved and didn’t. I liked that was tall and super strong. Her intelligence improved over time. As usual, I started skipping towards the end as my patience wore thin, but not because I wasn’t enjoying it.

The ending was cute, but I always hope for a wedding and I got one but I wish that was more of then ending. Side note lots of kissing scenes and it wasn’t the regular pg version. The chemistry between both actors was awesome you could see their bond. It’s almost as if two best Friends were making a movie together. They really respect each other. I found out she was married and had a kid already during the making of this movie, so that helped me really like her. She is so beautiful and how they managed to make her look so plain and weird at times is amazing.

I do wish they had invested a bit more in graphics. She did great with all the mermaid scenes I can only imagine how long she had to hold her breath. I’m accustomed to seeing it more fantasy, but they made it more realistic than Disney. Definitely would recommend.

Uncontrollably Fond, the main male actor didn’t win me over. I do like his singing voice. Bored with the storyline. Other love story didn’t interest me either. I did like the main actress.

Kim Won-suk screenwriter for descendants of the sun and man to man. The second one you skips most of starting in the first episode. The first one you didn’t skip, but really wanted too. I think I skipped one scene with a character I didn’t care for.

Man to Man, the main actor looks very similar to the main actor in descendants of the sun. Similar character too, but this one was a little more serious and the main actress didn’t do it for me. She was a little too kiddish looking and I wish she had a stronger character. I skipped part after the first episode, so naturally, it only progressed from there. A ton of kissing scenes and a few plot surprises that kept me interested, but the ending wasn’t my favorite.

Something in the rain (Netflix) too boring couldn’t get into it. Stopped watching after twenty minutes or so.

Lol, bro get out that book collecting dust over there!

Have you watched Vikings??

It is very well written and directed. it takes heroism to another level. It is about people in Scandinavian islands who try to explore different parts of the world . I don't want to tell further story 😁😁

This was definitely a cool show! #nicegifs

I haven’t seen Vikings. Is it on Netflix?

You can either watch it on Amazon or history channel. It is not available on Netflix i guess

I can’t wait for game of thrones in 2019!!!!! The last season stopped at a very suspense filled scene. Will the mother of dragons and John Snow turn out to be siblings? Does The Imp knows anything about this or is he in love with the mother of dragons?

Korean tele novellas are very popular in Nigeria. A video went viral of a 11 year old kid who learnt how to speak Korean by just watching the series. Amazing stuff

I’ve heard game of thorns is awesome! I can’t believe they are making you wait so long for the next season. That is commitment. I really don’t like to wait, so I usually wait until the show is over then watch the whole show at once.

He learn to speak fluently from watching it? That’s amazing, I’ve picked up most of their mannerisms and I’ve noticed they speak formal and informally like the French. I would have to practice and study before I could learn. Do you remember that kids name?

I found an artist today that was born in Canada. Mom from Taiwan and dad is from China, I think, and he can speak five languages. Have you heard of Henry lau?

We have no option than to wait, we could binge watch from season 1... lol

Her name is Verse Agashua,
You can watch the video here https://stargist.com/life/verse-agashua-nigerian-girl-speaks-korean-language-fluently-video/
