Giving Away 273 SBI Shares AND 23,578 STEEM Powered Up | SPUD By the Numbers
By all accounts, SPUD - Steem Power Up Day - was a major success.
Twitter and the Steem blockchain blew up with posts about SPUD. So many people powered up and so many people talked about it.
SPUD has done a great job of showing people why Steem has the best global community in the world.

As I said in my post about SPUD, I powered up 777 STEEM to show support both for SPUD as well as for the Seven77 movement on twitter.
Additionally, I put it out there that anyone who powered up Steem, commented on that post and then sent out a tweet about SPUD and Seven77 would receive 7 SBI shares from me along with 1 winner getting a bonus of 77 SBI shares!
To be honest, I didn’t expect such an enthusiastic response!!
Tons of people participated and it took a while for me to put all the numbers together. By the way, if you think I missed your tweet and power up for some reason, please leave a comment below! I’m pretty confident that I got everyone, but it’s possible I could’ve missed a few.
After combing through the numbers, here are the totals (from participants in my little contest for SPUD):
- 23,578 STEEM powered up
- 273 SBI shares given away
