Cavaliers Fans Disappoint Me

in #cavs6 years ago

The Cavs were up by 1 with 3:11 to go in the game and the crowd wasn't even loud and getting hyped. It was sad. Kevin Durant splashed some legit daggers and he tore it up but Cavs fans should have been rabid. Instead with a minute to go half the seats were empty in the arena. That is ridiculous. It always blows my mind how fair weather a lot of fans are. Like rushing out like that is going to really get them home that much faster since half the stadium piles out so they can maybe get to their car faster. How pathetic. They need to let their balls drop and cheer for their team until the last second. The silly thing is it has happened before in both football and basketball where people leave and then the game turns around completely.

When Lebron was playing for Miami the fair weather Heat fans piled out of the building in 2013 and the Heat came back and a ton of those people who left were trying to get back in the building but they wouldn't let them back in. The Heat went on to win the game and then win game 7 securing the championship.

I just don't get why you would buy tickets and then bug out early when the game is still close. It isn't like if your team is down by 30 and you are so heart broken you have to leave.

I don't ever think a game is over because I grew up being a Pacers fan. Everyone who was a Pacers fan remembers Reggie Miller scoring 8 points in 9 seconds against the Nicks!!!! Don't ever give up!

I hope the Cavs fans who left sell their jersey's on eBay and then the Cavs come back from being down 3 - 0 and do what has never been done before!

I agree. GSW are better but last night Cavs had their chance for win and support was bad in crucial moments. Never surrender!

Yeah it was sad because Cavs could have stolen away game 1. There were some questionable calls from the refs and then the missed freethrow and then the mess up by JR Smith. Then game 3 they had a shot but Kevin Durant was being a beast. It is crazy how things can be so close but then seem so lopsided at this point with the series being 3-0

It's a pity because James is playing incredible. I am sorry that they don't have better couch because even with this team, Cavs could win title. GSW has superstars but they are playing team basketball, they share the ball. Cavs game is, spread a court and let James play 1 on 1, he will figure out something. I watch NBA since late 80's and only few players played on that level like James. Cheers,

I feel like when I buy a ticket for any game. I stay until the show is over. Unless its watching the crappy padres. I leave those game early all the time. LOL

I would stay for the entire game for sure unless there was some special situation where I had to leave.

I just think it was so funny how those Heat "fans" left and then even the players were calling them out telling them not to come to the next game. LOL

Come join Celtics nation. We've always got room for more fans, especially the kind that are disappointed when those around them aren't loud when the team needs them!

Makes sense! I'm from Indiana and a lot of people became Celtics fans with Larry Legend playing there but I was too young at that time when he was in his prime. But then he coached the Pacers so that was cool.

I would certainly stay for the whole game though.

Love my man, Larry. TRUE STORY...I met Larry and all the Celtics after a game during his rookie year. My brother and I made friends with an usher who took us down this secret hallway to the side of the locker room where all the guys came out to go home and to avoid the crowds. It was amazing!

I went to college at Grace College near Warsaw, IN, too, and I actually also played a pickup game one summer against Larry's point guard at ISU, Steve Reed. I think he was from Warsaw.

Oh wow! Small world. I have been to Warsaw many times. I'm from around that area.

No way! My first managerial position (lol) was an assistant manager at The Warsaw Pizza Hut, while I was in college at Grace College in Winona Lake next door to Warsaw. At the time, believe it or not, it was THE busiest Pizza Hut in the world. We did $25k per week back in 1981!

I guess people in Indiana just love pizza! Papa Johns was formed in Indiana as well.

Yep, guess so!
