I worked for a politician for several years. I grew accustomed to self-censorship. Since then, it is difficult to break the habit. I currently work for my city. My views would need to be masked by a pseudonym to prevent them being conflated with the views of my work colleagues and officials. In public service, we represent the entire community, not just those with whom we agree. Consequently, we often need to stay neutral even in our personal posts.
