Character Design Eight: Done
Hello creative people of Steemit and eSteemians. Here is the continuation of my character design from my previous post. Although I was busy today I managed to finish it and will use it for the another upcoming edition of the Name Me Contest. So here it is
It looks like a bird character that was what I thought from the get go. Let me upload some process photos:
I gave him a sweater although I was considering about a coat but this is what finally came to my decision. I had to use green which is a bit on the lighter shade because the character is already dark enough. I was pleased the green worked as I hope it to be.
On this stage no obvious edits but I defined the texture of the body by giving it more fine hairlike structures and made the wrinkly face more pronounced. I added highlights and shadow to give it more depth too. Last touch is the background which looks like a night forest with some moonlight above.
I love the finished look hope you do too. Stay tuned for the upcoming Name Me Contests. I will be using this image and the one previous to these.

@bengy wow I did not expect this kind of exposure you did I really appreciate it. I had been here for roughly 5 months now and I know it is not easy getting noticed. Take a look at this post I wrote 2 months ago. This I call Write My Story Challenge where I design a cute character and ask Steemians to write a background story for it. There is no monetary reward back then so I guess that is one of the reasons why no one participated. So to answer your question yes there is an intention for me to re-launch the writemystory challenge using these cute characters that have been named on previous contests. I love how it all connects together. If I have enough funds I can launch it ASAP, writing challenges need more prize because of the effort they need to put in. :)
I've been here for a year @hedidylan, to run a contest you need some supporters and sponsors too.. but first you should build a network with many kind people on steemit. you're right.. it's not easy to build a network, I did a contest in the pst too... but after the HF20, everything seemed to be different and you can learn to find the right time to re-launch your contest again.
Thank you @cicisaja I agree. Right now I am trying to engage with Steemians as much as I can because that will help me build a network like you said. With the support that I am receiving now I know my initiative/s will be noticed so thanks to you and to all the kind creative people here.

Yep... it's taken quite some time for me to manage to get enough of a ball rolling to do things! But it's worthwhile when you hit that point. I have a number of delegations out, some to worthy causes, and others to more selfish ends... also, a curation project in @classical-radio!
I think you should add more tags. What a waste because you only use two tags.

Nicely done. I like him. I can picture him in a video game actually 😝 You can really tell where my mind is right now. But to see him blown up in a game (not literally) just brought to life WOW.

I see you have been upvoting my replies to your posts. I appreciate the gesture but while your upvote is worth less than $0.02, you should really save your votes for something else. I mean, instead of upvoting people's comments, you could look at people's profiles and upvote one of their posts instead. It would be a better way of giving thanks. 😊

No problem. This network has a lot of weird rules. I spend many months here without knowing that voting comments with less than $0.02 was the same as throwing a vote into the garbage.
Who the heck comes up with these rules? No idea... but we must learn how to play the game.
