In November 2018 we visited Cartagena Colombia]a strategic port city located on the Caribbean in the northwestern region of South America. Founded in 1533 by Spain, it is one of the most beautiful cities in Colombia and possibly throughout the Caribbean. Here is one of the many vividly-painted Spanish-Colonial houses.

Yes!! Cartagena is one of the most fabulous cities around!!
The colors, the smell, the entire vibe sings to me! They had some of the coolest street art and the people were so very nice.
I went to a roof top party there, seriosly! Their architecture is a lovely mix of yesterday and today.
I love this building! It looks just like Cartagena!

Wow! I did a few of those as well.... I have so many photos and videos, I haven't even weeded them out. Amazing city, people, culture... yes the smell!!! We were they for their independence festival last november.... crazy.
For sure!! This big old world is just an amazing place, isn't it? The more I see it, the more I love it! And PS! The more I want to photograph it!

I do like the simplicity of that house plus that terrace in the second floor is marvelous feature of that house as well.

Wooow - more posts like this please! We are just thinking about visiting Colombia! We are considering Cartagena, Santa Marta and Medellin. Have you been to any of the last two too?
We were at Cartagena for the whole week and took a couple of hour boat trip to a few islands. I heard Medellin and Santa Marta are amazing. That will be my next trip.
