You might be right about the overcast thing. Sometimes colors seem more vivid when the light is muted. I think the purple came out beautifully in these!
Thank you! Cloudy days/overcast are not bad for photography. Colors do look different. Architecture and city scapes are pretty good then too. Without super sharp dark shadows.
I sometimes have a hard time with the shadows, trying for the right angle. The gloom removes that obstacle.

It's subtle when it's overcast. It's not a bad thing :)
