Purple extravaganza for color challenge purple Sunday!

Purple is a weird color to photograph. It doesn't always show up very well. I think that overcast might be the best lighting. I may be wrong. It also seems to go really wonky when you edit it. Anyhow here they are!

You might be right about the overcast thing. Sometimes colors seem more vivid when the light is muted. I think the purple came out beautifully in these!

Thank you! Cloudy days/overcast are not bad for photography. Colors do look different. Architecture and city scapes are pretty good then too. Without super sharp dark shadows.

I sometimes have a hard time with the shadows, trying for the right angle. The gloom removes that obstacle.
