Autumn Reds. Colour Challenge. Photography.
I find joy in all the colors of Autumn.
Today: I raked leaves: Mulch for my garden.
The branches of the trees: Almost bare.
The air: Crisp and cold. The sky: Blue.
Spirit warm. My heart aglow.
With Autumn Reds.

The Individual Layers.
The image: Autumn Reds was created in Photoshop by combining the following four layers on a red background.
Larger Ivy Leaves with Pink Berries
Small Ivy leaves
Liquid Amber Leaves
Branch of Ivy Leaves
Layers within the Image.
These three images were joined to make the one layer for Liquid Amber Leaves because the leaves were larger than the other leaves in the other layers.

Square Format.
Slightly re-arranging the layers as a square format: Because I love the square format.
But also: Something I keep in mind with most of my art making is how to coordinate the formatting so that the different pieces can be presented on other platforms. The square format doesn't always work for Steemit, but I love using it for my Instagram, Minds and MakersPlace sites.
A new Series?
The idea for combining wide horizontal layers to form the one image has been whirling around my mind for some time now. So I wanted to work on just one of these images, that more than likely will develop into another series: After my studio has been totally prepared for this new work, that is ~ A work still in process.
Photoshop.
I've only recently started to dabble with Photoshop again. Not one for manuals, I just play intuitively and then try to remember what I've done. A total novice, but I'm finding my way around layering and the logical ordering of layers now. So I'm really happy with my slow but steady self-relearning program. ~Ally.

Beautiful composition @allyinspirit. I have never have the patience for photoshop. I've tried it many times and even took a course but I still don't like it. But then, playing with digital images is not really my thing. 😁
Pleased you like it Gillian. Working with Photoshop is so far away from my thing too ~ And it's been so hard for me to learn. I can only do the basics ~ But have remembered and discovered enough now to do most of the things that I want to do with it.
My main aim is just to use PS as a tool in order to have 'visuals' for ideas that I wish to draw/paint. Although it would probably be just as quick to do some rough drawings.

I love using ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎ where and whenever I can. For a while, I used a blue butterfly as a 'signature' but had the feeling to design an image that would mean something even more to me ~ As well as sending out something really positive with every comment.

Ah. Now that's a different story altogether.
I used to change the image with that message to co-ordinate with every post ~ But it was all extra time, so for now, I'm just using the same image: My first Magic Wand.
And when time extends enough and I have the Steem resources to do it, I'd love to develop the idea of an online gallery which will be called Magical Moments.
Using it with every comment is my way of affirming this will come about. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

I've always loved the idea of having my own art gallery ~ The romantic idea of working on my own work in a studio there and whenever anyone comes to the gallery a little bell rings. I know some artists have worked this way but for me, it's a highly improbable notion as I hate being interrupted when I'm in full 'creative mode.' But an online gallery ~ Could be quite feasible.
For now, I'll be quite happy to set up my store with the Homesteaders Co-Op. Been working towards it again this week. I hope you're having a lovely week Gillian. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

I love this! Autumn colours are so ... vulnerable. A big part of my artistic expression is demonstrating the fragility and ephemeral nature of things.
Autumn colours and leaves are such a powerful way of doing this.
Autumn keeps our hearts aglow, as it is such a powerful affirmation of the circle of life.
