Greetings, my sweet, sweet Steemians!

It's been a minute since I've just done a random post. And I've missed these little talks we used to have. You know? Me and like 3 others. 😉

I've been spending a whole lotta time working on content for MISSION CONTROL on Mondays and STEEMSTAR AFTER DARK on Fridays. A WHOLE. LOTTA. 😎 And I totally dig it. I do. Just sometimes I run out of time for the other things.

Somehow I still find the time to share or 'gift'...

Why? You ask. Well, I like it. I'm the WORST at remembering birthdays (and some other major holidays), but if I know you and see something I think you'd like, I'm pretty likely to grab it or make it and send it along to its new home. This is particularly true when I meet new people. It might be because they are on my radar... it might be because I NEEEEEEEED you to like me (whoever you are)... or... nope... it's gotta be one of those. 🤣

Several weeks ago I started seeing this @eaglespirit flying around....

And, though many of you don't know, that sort of thing resonates with me. I really love connecting with folks of whom learn and pray and interact in a similar way to myself. I mean... duh, right? 😂 So I continued to see her around ... literally ALL the places I frequent. Was she stalking me????

LOL! Of course not!

We were just resonating similarly and BAM! On the radar. I tend to trust intuition, but I listen really closely. Sometimes I may wonder why you are popping into my life and may try to watch from afar for a while. This was kinda true for @eaglespirit , but only for the color of my skin. Yup. That's right. I'm white. Sorry if this comes as a sudden shock. Was a shock to me to ... When I was like 12 and found out my Grandparents, whom I'd always known as such, actually weren't and couldn't be cause they were black as night and I was white as all the colors in the spetrum slammed together. I'd never much given it any thought until then. As far as I knew we were all God's children and that was that.

Luckily this was the norm for me growing up.

People were people. You either sucked or were awesome solely based on your actions. It was a good time. A great time to grow up. My first boyfriend (again... NEVER gave this a second thought as a child) was the (black) son of our Preacher. His name was Bryan (with a 'y'). 😍 I got to sail through life having friends of all the shapes and sizes. All of them. LOL!

And the changes came...

And it was a bummer. Now everything's different. I'm not allowed to be white, which is a bit unfortunate cause I'm pretty sure it's not my choice...😏 I hid for a while because of this. I left social media, pretty much completely. I just didn't understand all the hate. Still don't.

Then I came to Steemit.

I started to feel more and more comfortable. Everyone, well, mostly, everyone here seems so nice. Of course, there are bound to be some poops, but how else would I measure a good person without a bad one? Now, in real life I still work with (and try to be strong) for others in all walks of life... The irony I see now is insane. Thus, I walk carefully, pay attention and listen.

@eaglespirit could have gone either way...

But I was pretty sure she was pure of heart. 😍 I'd no reason to believe otherwise as she always is supportive and kind with her words and gestures. But still... I was scared. Or at least a little nervous... I'm so glad I decided to reach out! I was right! She's the best! I ended up sending her a handful of Native-themed buttons (that you pin to your clothing) that me and the hubs had created. We call them 'Medicine Buttons'.

She loved them!

And I was so excited! It feels really good to know you brightened someone else's day a little. Really, it does. Go on... try it out... then get back to me. 😍

Suddenly, without expectation.... I got a gift too!!!

Woohoo! Now, if I'm being totally honest (that's the norm), while I DO love giving gifts... getting them isn't so bad either. 😎 @eagelspirt sent me something. Something just wonderful. Let's take a look. 👀

This little beauty arrived in my PO BOX about a week ago... and it smelled wonderful!! Let's look inside. 😍

I was so surprised and touched to receive such a perfect gift. I really love the red leather and the size! One of my other (much cherished) Medicine pouches is fully beaded and little more delicate. This one is a bit larger and perfect for carrying many objects.
