I think the questions largely come because the rules of steem don't make a whole lot of sense and are actually quite opaque and too complex. Also, all of the advertising says you will get paid for your posts, unlike other sites, which makes people think that if they have a bunch of likes they will get a bunch of steem, but often you can get a bunch of likes and get very little steem. Steem is also lacking audiences for a number of content areas, such as technical areas, and lacking in content support (e.g., no support equations). Then you have the various self-annointed steem police and the pay to upvote posts that seem to be raking in the dough. It doesn't take too long for a new person to figure out that the original advertisement is kind of like bait and switch.

I dont agree totally , we lack alit maybe but people need to be real in expectations too. If it was a free ride we would be bigger than any other social platform out there. And with FB you didn’t get paid either and half off the world had that. If you ask a question in steemterminal we will answer honestly, direct you to the right place, or connect the dots if needed. Free of charge and no strings attached. We follow the rules, difficult or not because that’s needed. People forget to have fun, learn and meet new people and MAYBE make a buck ! And I say if you don’t follow the rules, try to obey them do what’s needed and you just want cash you are in for a short but heavy letdown.
So after 18 months I am not rich in steem but richer In all aspects here including friendships that’s worth enough for me now. I hope others who. One for help at steemterminal will experience the same
