Guilty Pleasures Writing Prompt Contest WINNERS!!! Finally...
Hey there folks!!! Last month I ran a writing contest titled Guilty Pleasures, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The only problem was I was stupid and scheduled it literally right before my busiest few weeks of the year. DUMB! I wanted to put a good amount of thought into picking the winners. Not that there was a tremendous prize or anything, but because those of you who participated in this badboy took their time and were thoughtful enough to partake in the first place. I read all of the entries initially but then with the holiday season in full swing at the shop, I didn't really have the time to give it 100%...until now! Regardless, sorry for the delay...next one of these I run will be planned at a time when I am not so swamped so I can respond in a timely manner.
Before I jump into everything, I would like to thank those of you who donated some Steem for the prizes. Every bit helps in growing accounts here so it's much appreciated. Thanks to the following fine Steemians for their contributions to the prize pool which will be distributed evenly to 3 lucky folks.

It was tough to choose winners here. Seriously...it was a challenge. I initially made a few notes as to why I liked each one and then had to reread everything this weekend to make sure my opinions didn't change or vary. Everyone did an amazing job and be it a serious attempt or a silly one, it was fun to learn a bit more about each and every one of you guys. Thanks for letting your guard down a little bit and allowing us all to see a bit more about you. Ok...onto the winners...

So @Blewitt Wants To Know Our Guilty Pleasures - I'll Cave
The reason @steemmatt is on the winners podium here is because I love his idea of the Good Karma Charity Stash. This dude picks up any loose change or bills he finds on the streets and stashes it away towards an eventual charity donation. He has quite a bit saved up already which is awesome. Doing selfless things for others is key in my book for being one of the good ones, and while deep down inside I know he is dogshit...this is a noble cause that I can get behind. He also mentioned that he was tempted to invest it into crypto to hopefully grow it for the charity but hasn't. That takes a ton of will power...of which I possess none of. Congrats brother!

Cheap seats and guilty pleasures
Asher does a ton for the platform and is what we should all strive to be here...but that is not why he is deemed a winner today. @abh12345 simply stated something that he does that I embarrassingly do as well. In his write up, he mentions how he constantly tries to jump shot his trash into various bins. He also alludes to how much he sucks at it. I share both of those same dogshit traits and found it hilarious. I know how stupid I look when I am in the city and I try a fadeaway jumper from 15 feet away with my empty Coke bottle, just to have it either airball completely or clang off the rim ricocheting it to roll under a car. Yes...I always go and retrieve it to slam dunk it as good ol' Kenny Fuckin' Powers showcases above. Usually I botch that up as well so kudos to my boy Asher for having the courage to attempt to be trash clutch while yelling KOBE!!!

The final winner for this silly contest is the lovely @coruscate! Now while this was a "writing prompt", she was the only one of the entries that basically told me to go fuck myself and my stupid rules. What a rebel. She ended up using @dtube to post a video of her entry. She was brutally honest and admitted some personal details such as scab picking which is simply refreshing to hear. That is exactly the type of thing I was hoping to accomplish with this contest. Letting down the guard a bit and showcasing a real bit of you. She accomplished that by grossing us all out...all of us except @modernzorker who pays good Steem for video clips of women doing that exact thing. Creep...
As I mentioned above, it was hard to pick winners. Each and every entry "could" have won for one reason or another. So much of this made me laugh such as @llfarms's comment regarding my own post stating...and I quote, "Okay, Guilty Pleasures... this was actually tough for me.. I don't have anything I do that I feel that guilty about. I went back to @blewitt's post for guidance and it was just a disgusting mess of nonsense..." Simply perfect.Or how pretty much EVERYONE has chocolate and Netflix mentioned to some degree.
We all have a ton in common and it was an absolute NON Guilty Pleasure, to learn about all of you a bit more. I love you all and am grateful that you decided to partake in my first contest of this nature. I will do more and try to think of some more fun ways for us to all share.
Congrats to @steemmatt, @coruscate, and @abh12345 for winning the whopping prize...but because I love everyone of the entries...you are all winners to some degree. I will just purchased 1 share of @steembasicincome for each one of the other Steemians who entered. I know it is not much but it is just my way of saying Thanks!!!

Thanks for the SBI! I loved your contest and getting to know a little more about the people of Steem. By the way, game time at 2:30 - my Bulls vs your Nets. Sadly, I pretty much know how it's going to turn out, though we did have a really good exciting game against the Pacers on Friday - we lost by 3 in the OT, and Lavine actually hit the 3 pointer to tie, but it was at the buzzer and didn't count.
Yup! I saw that...total heartbreaker.
I will be watching today. Was actually going to leave you a comment and taunt ya a bit. lol
