Children Medically Kidnapped Due to Doctor's False Allegation of Abuse

Most people believe in the justness of the institutions that surround us. We believe they are doing "good", and that we can trust them. We let them into our lives, we let them do what they want, thinking we have nothing to fear as we did nothing wrong. But that trust can backfire as the power given to them is turned against us.

Another couple have experienced this first hand with the medical establishment and Child Protective Services. Mary Sweeney and Cedric Roberts thought they were in good hands by the CPS who was just making sure everything was fine after their child went to the hospital. They thought only abusive bad parents were targets. They didn't think a trip to the emergency room could put their family in terror and suffer losing their children.

Mary went to the hospital after an accidental injury to one of her children. She then lost her 4 children for the summer after a Child Abuse Pediatrician in another state concluded a child's injuries were from abuse. The doctor never saw the baby in person, mistaking a screen glare for a fracture. CPS still won't return the children after police investigations concluded no wrongdoing.

The 16 year old relationship of Mary and Cedric is being tested by the authoritarians who are traumatizing them and their children, a 9-year-old daughter, 6-year-old son and twin boys who were born prematurely on March 24.

It all began when baby Camden fell off the bed onto the hardwood floor after being fed near 3 am, Jun 3 2018. She blamed herself for falling asleep exhausted while caring for the other twin. She looked him over for injuries, but couldn't find any problems and he soon stopped crying while she didn't. To be safe, she headed off to the emergency room after a call to the doctor suggested it.

A CT scan showed bleeding in the brain though. She was told he might die, and collapsed on the floor. But there were no rushing of doctors or nurses to save her son. The next doctor cam in to tell her the DCFS was being called on her as part of American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) policy to call CPS anytime a "non-ambulatory" child hits their head.

She didn't care as long as the doctors did their job. She had nothing to hide. She was told he was dying, but that wasn't true. The bleeding was very small. Rest would be all that was needed. DCFS social workers repeatedly questioned Mary to try to trip her up and justify a claim of abuse. After being exhausted and traumatized by being told her son might die, she was emotionally distraught.

The hospital made a call to Child Abuse Pediatrician Dr. Terra Nicole Frazier who was 500 miles away in Kansas City, Missouri. She concluded Camden's tibia was fractured, as an x-ray showed a broken leg which looked 7-10 days old. This made no sense to Mary. How did this injury happen? Did another child fall on him?

After that, the DCFS compelled Mary to condone to a "safety plan" for 48 hours they said, while the children would be sent to relatives for them to investigate. This turned into 2 weeks, as the "Expert" Dr. Frazier needed that much time to do a follow-up.

On Mary's birthday, June 21, she was told there was no fracture, as the screen glare was mistaken for a fracture. But, the DCFS told her the "Expert" child abuse specialist doctor told them the brain injury had to be from child abuse, no doubt about it.

I've posted before about the medical tyranny and kidnapping through shaken baby syndrome false diagnoses, and how a grandmother was falsely imprisoned for such false claims of abuse. These false claims of abuse are subjugating families to abuse, which includes the children.

This time it appears the DCFS workers in questions was skeptical, caring about what actually happened, and wanted a second opinion that would have to be approved by a supervisor. She asked for police to investigate as well. It took over a week for the police investigation request to be made. Eventually the police did investigate, but everything came back clear. An officer said the children should be back within a week.

But, this never happened. The DCFS, as seems to be usual with the CPS crazed authoritarian mentality, didn't care about the police report. Another DCFS worker told the parents that the doctor said it was abuse, which they responded the police had cleared them, but this social worker just said: "No, Ms. Sweeney, the criminal investigation has nothing to do with our case."

So they just flat out don't care about the police report. Meanwhile, no second opinion was actually obtained. After 60 days, the CPS protocols state the investigation should be completed, but ti wasn't. The children were still not home. All that matters is the other authoritarian tyranny of the medical "expert" who concluded it "had to be" child abuse.

Dr. Frazer thinks the small bleeding can't possible happen from a fall off the bed. This is despite other experts saying it can happen. A study from the American Journal of Forensic Medical Pathology said "The author concludes that an infant or child may suffer a fatal head injury from a fall of less than 3 meters (10 feet)."

If shaking a babies head resulted in brain injury, there would be neck trauma, which there wasn't. Chris Van Ee, PhD, has testimfied in court that "today’s science cannot distinguish accidental from non-accidental impacts of falls of similar magnitude, barring extraordinary signs, e.g., grip marks or eye-witness accounts."

Another doctor, Steven Gabaeff, points out the flaws in SBS diagnoses:

Yet Caffey and his cohorts presumed from the inception of the SBS theory that short falls could not produce adequate force to cause serious injury. This was incorrect. Now with both new and old research, some child abuse specialists will for the first time admit that short falls can cause serious injury, including SDH [subdural hematoma], and have recently acknowledged that RH and other retinal damage can occur with short falls as well.

The twins were born premature, spending 2.5 months in the NCIU with brain bleeding present. Vitamin D can also contribute to subdural hematoma, which Camden's records show he was low on. Dr. Steven Gabaeff criticizes the ignorance of the American Academy of Pediatrics policies that relies too much on these so-called "experts" of child abuse pediatric specialists. With over 2 million cases of subdural hematomas (brain bleeding) in newborns each year in the US, the AAP policy states they resolve their own in when babies are 5-8 weeks old. Any bleeding beyond that time "has to be" from child abuse or a very serious trauma like a car accident.

The conclusion of Dr. Gabaeff's publication in Legal Medicine speaks about the issue of false allegations that ruins families:

The abuse narrative becomes the dominant narrative. Dissenters are attacked as ‘pro-child abuse’, outliers or ‘denialists’ [47].This can occur in and out of the institution setting. The end results, false accusations against an innocent family, are made; an act that may do more damage to innocent families than actual abuse in already abusive environments.

False allegations of abuse are abuse. Misdiagnosis, leading to false allegations and legal proceeding, devastates families and the very infant patients’ lives that we all work diligently to protect. Families and children are thrown into chaos. It is essential that child abuse pediatricians fully understand the consequences of past and future misdiagnosis of medical problems and accidents as abuse. Continued resistance to evidence-based research, both old and new, that undermines the existing constructs of child abuse medicine, endangers families. More objective analyses of the intricacies of CNS pathophysiology continue to emerge and paint a clearer picture of the issues surrounding both child abuse and the misdiagnosis of child abuse. If an expanded understanding of these issues by child abuse pediatricians is not possible, then other participants in the legal process (our other medical colleagues, Judges, DA’s, police, social workers and defense attorneys) must take the time to study and analyze these issues themselves and apply common sense and their newly acquired knowledge to insure justice is served. Each of us must realize that a body of exculpatory evidence based complexity, concealed under a cloak of dogma and zealotry, must be uncovered and incorporated into a willing embrace of the ever emerging, more sophisticated knowledge of the intricacies of the human neurophysiology and neuropathophysiology.

Baby Camden was discharged from the hospital the day of admission with a mild concussion. Yet, he didn't go home, and the witch hunt on his parents has continued for months. The DCFS has inflicted trauma and abuse on the family, with the children still suffering from the injustice of being separated from their parents on false claims of child abuse. The DCFS has not given any indication for when the children will ever be returned. They are being power tripping assholes who seem to like being dominators and controllers that terrorize families and get paid for it.
