I guess it would be easy to think of model construction for railroads or whatever else they apply to be pristine replicas of functional or habitable buildings or devices. But I can see here that there's bound to be places a train will pass that has been abandoned or fallen in disrepair, and that not all can look like it was just built or made the day before.

Abandoned trams seem to be a common theme here. :)

This is all amazing. And congratulations on completing or nearing completion of stage one. Very exciting. :)
