RE: ๐ I Just Created A New Footer For Steemit Posts, Which Do You Like More!? ๐
Although I like the patriotic theme for what it is, the banner looks kind of cluttered. The blue and green one is more pleasing to the eyes.
Thanks for your kind reply, I'm glad you like it, I do too it's more colorful and cheerful! ๐

Early retirement is fantastic. I've been putsing around for 10 years already and the days just whizz by. Who said there is nothing to do when retired? I can't keep up!
On another note: I'm curious as to why you would power down now that the value of your tokens are so low? Wouldn't it be the time to power up instead? From what I've been reading, the market should recover in about 6 months. That's when I would consider to be the better time to power down and collect on the rising value (unless you plan to leave Steem altogether, but then I would still wait for a better price to sell).
Thanks for your awesome reply! I'm powering down because I've been laid off for a few months now and I'm broke , and even though I'm not cashing it out which is only about 30.00 Steem per week I'm using it to buy and invest in steemmonster cards which I can then sell later for much more then I paid for them and I also use a bit for resteem services of my posts which I'm mostly just doing quick stuff as the price is low now and I'm spending most of time on Steemmonsters or Steemhunt. So basically I'm reinvesting my power down. Thanks!๐

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. Does this now affect your plans to get a vacation home and delay retirement?
I was thinking of selling my Steemmonster cards now while they are hot. Plus, I can't see how I would get new summoners without buying them since we no longer get booster packs for daily quests.
Why are gold cards so much more expensive? I have 2 gold cards, but they don't seem all that powerful. I bet there is a lot I need to learn yet about the value of those cards.
im actually trying to finish a small house to live in on a small piece of property we are almost done paying for, so i dont need to pay rent on top of property payments anymore in town , its very expensive to live here in Kelowna with 0 vacancy. thanks, Heres a post i did on my property 2 months ago with lots of photos!:

No matter what Monster cards are a good investment for the future! as more people join and level up the cards will be harder and harder to get making them more valuable ( like when the new rewards cards are all maxed up there will be only 1,000 of each of those : Heres a great link to that post : https://steemit.com/steemmonsters/@steemmonsters/steem-monsters-update-new-reward-cards
Gold cards are more valuable because they take a lot less cards to level them up and they generally all ready start at a higher level like 3 or 4 so you dont need to buy or save all those cards to level up gold, plus theres less of them produced so they will be more valuable in the future once thousands of people join and cards will be harder to get especially single cards when it takes like 800 or more of some of them them to max a card out! Also there will be Gold Only tournaments once the official ones start soon on Steemmonsters later this month for money. So, Gold Foil are more rare and will be worth more in the future like all cards! its a great investment oppertunity I have quite a few for sale of extras that i get or im asking a lot for my golds because I really want to keep them , but if I get a great price I will sell , lol! ๐๐๐
Thank-you for the detailed and informative response. That looks like a cozy little house you are having built. Your property looks kind of remote. I would be concerned about getting stranded in Winter in case of accident or illness. Hopefully there are good neighbours close by.
You have convinced my to hang onto my cards for a while longer and just keep playing the game for now. Thanks for the advice.
Awe thanks and your very welcome! Your right the property is an hour from the bigger city of Kelowna up in the mountains here in British Columbia Canada. but there is a very small town Beaverdell 10 min. away and other people around maybe a 1000 population, so its cool! ๐๐๐
10 minutes is a reasonable time.
I don't recall ever passing through Beaverdell, so have no idea what is there. Hopefully a small hospital or clinic of sorts. I'm told the hospital in Kelowna is very good. Fortunately I never needed to go there. I've been to the hospital in Penticton though. Here in Vancouver our hospitals are over-crowded and the overflow is so great that even the smaller hospitals in Vancouver's suburbs are experiencing wait times of more than 4 hours! In my opinion, when hospitals are that backed-up, it indicates over-population. They either need to build more hospitals or stop allowing densification. People that are suffering should not be made to wait that long to be assessed.
