I think that it is highly desirable to be able to use cryptocurrency. Interestingly, crypto is very transparent. Places with high corruption index will be exposed by cryptos because the very people who were trying to prevent people from using cryptos are probably people who have the most significant transactions

Changing the male dominance of the cryptocurrency industry

This one is the most interesting topic among those articles, as we all know the world population is divided into approximately 50%, male and female. What if more woman would join into cryptocurrencies? How much positive impact it would have on the market and the industry? We time whatever we have now by x2

However, there are lack of female investors joining into crypto could be the fact that crypto is a risky investment and most women don't like risky. I do not think women are "not smart enough" to join crypto like the article mentioned.

What would need to be done to get more women into crypto? And in general, there are not a lot of women in tech industry, even after all of the push to get more women to join the industry.

That will be a multi-billion dollar answer Hahahaha. If I know how to get them to join Crypto industry and lay out what needs to be done, I wouldn't be here. In short, I have no clue. Good question tho.

South Korea Moving Towards Cryptocurrency Acceptance
Personally, I think this news somehow influence other cryptocurrency in other parts of the world including Vietnam. I hope Vietnam will soon follow this country. South Korea has played a profound role in the trend of cryptocurreny market. As you can see, recently, Bithumb exchange in Korea was hacked and stolen 30 million $. That partly leads to BTC's price fall, resulting in Steem and SBD's value decrease. Today the market is green and I wish this status will last long after overcoming this crisis period. :D

Is there any place in Vietnam that has accepted crypto as a payment form? Or is it more for speculation and transfer of money outside?

Not yet. But I'm sure there are some ways to transfer ecoin into cash. Vietnamese people are doing more research by themselves in the field of cryptocurrency.

@nuoctuong, great compilation! Here's my reaction to: Changing the male dominance of the cryptocurrency industry

From its start, the world of cryptocurrency has been dominated by males. In fact, men make up more than 91 percent of the bitcoin community

Well, I have seen this coming. When I learned about Steemit, I asked my female Philippine and Vietnamese friends to sign up, no one did. When I asked my male friends to sign up, 80% signed up!

But now, women are trying to change that.

I will continue with my social experiment and see where it takes me. I will continuously talk about Steemit to friends and see if they are interested.

“Bitcoin Bombshell”

Oh such a cool moniker, I want to be a bitcoin bombshell.

And if you may, please allow me to react on this link: Two New Cryptocurrency Exchanges Accredited in Philippines; Total Grows to Five

The two exchanges join previously accredited peers Rebittance, Betur (also known as Coins.ph) and BloomSolutions.

I am using Coins.ph and others are too. It's the most popular. They've been in operation for some time now though not very long but they have established their presence in the crypto market. Inspite of its strong presence, there are still problems or issues making Filipinos skeptical with the whole crypto currency set-up. FYI, most Steemians in the PH use coins.ph

My two cents worth! Have a great day @nuoctuong.

I appreciate your response. I think that there are lots of room for improvement in trying to recruit more females into the cryptocurrency setting.

Have you found places in the Philippines that accepted crypto as a form of payment?

Have you found places in the Philippines that accepted crypto as a form of payment?

None, Nada!!! How sad. Perhaps there is but not that I am aware of. Although, I have not been out pretty much here in the PH, I am always at the office. It's different in VN, with the fast internet, I can always work from wherever I am at and by saying that even while on the bus.

Oh, check this out - I was in Laos last month and a hostel posted that they are accepting BITCOIN as a form of payment. Now, how cool is that? ^_^

Why would you be staying in a hostel if you have enough bitcoins? It’s cool though. The more places that accept crypto, the less likely it will go away. Vietnam prohibited 🚫 crypto to be used as a payment form.

Pretty good point @nuoctuong. My brother is a digital nomad/virtual assistant with a regular salary + cryptocurrency incentives. Most digital nomads prefer hostels to stretch their budget out when travelling the world. I am a digital nomad/virtual assistant too. However, I like to live on the safe side of life LOL hence I rented an apartment in Hanoi.

SOUTH KOREA MOVING TOWARDS CRYPTOCURRENCY ACCEPTANCE

Great news because few months ago, I suggested my team members who work as Honorary Reporters for Korean Government to join me on Steemit but I shortly found out that Korean Government had banned its officials from holding and trading cryptocurrency (source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/south-korean-government-bans-officials-from-crypto-holding-and-trading).

I hope they can join me this time (bonus: most of my team members are females too).

Awesome news items. GOOD WORK!

It looks very easy to join the event, everything is on https://news.bitcoin.com.
And the most noticeable news to me today is: https://news.bitcoin.com/the-weekly-coinbase-custody-opens-malta-adopts-crypto-law-bittrex-invades-europe/ . Malta Adopts Crypto Law, Bittrex Invades Europe
:)

Yes, there are more than enough sources of news. Which ones are significant enough to cause a discussion to start?

Oh I know what you mean, this also looks at the impact of news to the market. Tin can own the market is not much for 1 day!
As you can see, I still can not find the reason why the market went down today. :(

Crypto ups and downs seem to have very correlation with the news. But in the traditional equity market, there is a saying that goes something like this "buy the rumor; sell the news". I guess in the case of cryptos, there are lots of rumors and speculations that by the time it becomes the REAL news, some may have over-estimated the true positive value of the events and therefore the market went down as a result. Let's take for example, if you think that next week, Steemit will go up because they're coming out this great new feature that outside to "like/upvote" your posts and pay for it. You think that it's worth $100 increase so you bought Steem at $1.65 today like 50% of the other speculators out there. Some people (25%) think it's only worth $50 and some (25%) only think it's worth $10. Based on this simple calculation, the price of Steem should be worth approximately $65. Price would increase to $65 as the news become more real. And let's assume next week come and Steemit Inc came out with the features. Everyone loves it. The calculation of the additional benefits is only worth $10. The price will drop down to $10 because everyone had overbought the rumor.

So as to why the market went down today in some specific example, you have to figure out what rumors are people trading on and whether they were overconfidence on the delivery of that information to realize the benefits. If you can analyze and make a true determine of the value-added of any rumor/speculation to buy or sell, you will be a rich man. Let me know when you found that model for crypto.

A logical and valuable. Thanks for sharing this. To be TRADER I will have to learn a lot, this argument is a knowledge to remember when evaluating the market.
News is always important to a trader, but evaluating the impact of a news on the market needs experience and level. So not everyone makes the same decision.
Thank a lot @nuoctuong
