Archdruid Gaming: Author Showcase Issue 8

in #curation6 years ago

This week felt like it went by really fast but here we are another Friday evening! Majority of our community over the past week has been really focused on what would make their dream game. They have talked about it very extensively on Steemit and elsewhere as well. Don’t worry if you have already found your perfect game to play in life and are not interested in reading what others would be. I made sure to include a couple of other types of gaming content as well.

Author 1

bengy.png

@Bengy writes about all kinds of different content throughout the week. It could be anything from music, history, ulogs and even some gaming tossed into the mix. His gaming content tends to be very detailed with examples and tons screenshots as well to illustrate different aspects of a game.

One of his more recent game reviews was on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided where he walks the reader on a journey of his first impression from the game. He shares with us some funny moments that occurred due to how the game implemented the starting moments of the game. What he thinks is important to any RPG genre game. Along with other things he liked or disliked. Overall a nice rounded review that goes into great details about different aspects of the game.

Author 2

pixelbites.png

@Pixelbites brings another game this week from his Backlog Review series. He tends to focus on the retro style of games sometimes even when they are not in his backlog series as well. As gamers, while we have that checkbox we hope games check off. Sometimes we found those gems that bring to light a different but enjoyable playstyle.

This time around we get to learn about Iro Hero. A game while he holds its genre to a tougher standard. He also happened to score a free code to review it. That right there sounds like a gamers dream getting review code to a game! It is nice to see while the game was not exactly as he was looking for it still had some game mechanics that made the game an enjoyable experience.

Author 3

gamingstation.png

@Gamingstation is a rather solid gaming space as that is his niche. He brings gameplay, reviews, and news from the different developers and games. He tends to be to the point and understands what gamers want to know the most and focus on that.

This week he went out all out in describing what his dream game is with Inner Struggle. He gives quite a few different examples of games that have elements he would want in his dream game. While also pointing out the ones he would stay away from. He wants a really good story driven game with amazing choices and impactful consequences. Just how will his dream game achieve these three corners? You will have to read his point yourself to find out.

Author 4

creativetruth.png

@Creativetruth Bonsai trees and other gardening posts should end up on quite a few top lists here on steemit. That is not why we are visiting this author this week. It turns out he can also write some amazing gaming posts as well regarding what his dream game would entail.

Just from reading How about a City Building Sim, you start to wonder when a kick starter style campaign to raise funds for this game will come out. Let alone you wish to yourself that it was already in beta and you just got an access key to test things out. He goes into quite some specific details about the class progression from ranking up as a lonely peasant in his world. Not to mention the detailed lore behind different governments players can from together is simply breathtaking. For many details matter and this post has them.

Author 5

volderhein.png

@Volderhein who is getting back into the swing of things on steemit hits his latest post out of the park! Nothing like getting back into the game of things and taking those around you on an amazing adventure. You can find different kinds of content from video to written reviews. Even posts pondering what would make an amazing game.

He explores the topic of what would you’re your dream game be and just how hard it is to find just that in his post VR-MMO-RPG. He goes over a few games that almost had it all but were just lacking something that could make them perfect. From how amazing they could be in VR to other aspects just needing more of a special sauce to take them to the goal line. He also goes into detail where this game would take place and the different game mechanics that make up his dream game.

Anyone who loves gaming should consider joining #Archdruid. They have been so welcoming and friendly to me, both in actions, deeds, and words. I never asked for anything, but they are very generous and friendly and welcoming.

There were no registration requirements, just a love of gaming, and a friendly personality to be included among the ranks.

I love the support you show the gaming community here. I feel like gaming may finally be taking a hold here on Steemit. :D

It has been for a while most just don’t know about their options out there. There just also more need for communities like Archdruid. They have been around for a while just not set up for community like they are these days. I joined right around when they opened up there discord for everyone to join and wanted to make it more of gaming community out of it.

Nice one guys! Keep it up!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend.

I upvoted your contribution because to my mind your post is at least 19 SBD worth and should receive 209 votes. It's now up to the lovely Steemit community to make this come true.

With me being so lazy over past week you must have missed the truffles I leave in my posts!

Thanks for the spotlight! Somehow I missed the Gina ping yesterday, but I saw it on trufflepig! Got some great writers there, archdruid is really turning out to be a great home for quality games writing.

We try our best. Lots of wonderful written gaming content out there that often times gets over looked. Have a great weekend.

Omg I never thought I'd get featured on one of these!!! Also I've read stuff from everyone who's in this list and I can attest how amazing they really are and how they're contributing for our entire community.

Really good work on these author showcase posts, @enjar I admire you because it seems like you're always on top of things and getting to know everyone. You're really cool, dude!

Glad to see you posting again! It was a great post.

Thank you! I really got hyped when writing about it. I had that thought drifting in my mind since like 2012 or something lol.

And i'm working on something else right now, I think it should be done by today but I still have to thank you for helping me to get into writing again!

It does feel like this week went by really fast and to be honest I'm kind of glad it did.. lol

Indeed it was one of those weeks I don't mind forgetting about for the most part.

How you been doing?

I have had one heck of a summer... but i am still alive somehow lol....
