Meditation, when done by various people, gets various results.
I believe this is because some people just naturally know how to use the tool, and other's do not.

Some use meditation to zone out.
Others use meditation to go inside and heal the hurts.
And so, your mileage will vary.

I've seen this among some and almost all of them are from the west. I don't know if it is even real meditation if you are zoning out. Here is a great talk I found thanks to @bobinson
