The movie basically just take inspiration and do its own thing like how MCU is building there story.
I've also been a huge fan of Sci-fi since I was a child. I've also loved the old proto-science fictions like Frankenstein, Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and also the more supernatural ones like Dracula and obviously I loved the Sherlock stories and Jules Verne.

I, robot. Yes, I loved since I read it the first time, so so long ago.
I, robot is just a tiny part of a book called Robots (correct me if I'm wrong) I think another one, very good is Sally. In the same book.
I have enjoyed reading science fiction since I was a child. And now, I enjoy seeing almost all of them in movies, just magical to me. ;)
