I Finally Got My Steem Silver Rounds | Unboxing Video
Woot! I just received my 2017/2018 Steem Silver Rounds!
After about three months, I finally laid hands on these beauties. I cannot explain how stoked I was while opening the package - it was surely worth the wait.
Coming from the US, the rounds took around three weeks to reach me. It was my first time to receive something this valuable on the post so I was also quite nervous it might get lost in transit. Haha.
I am a total Silver Stacking noob too. These rounds are my first and would definitely not be my last.
I mean, look at these! How can you not fall in love?
Long Term Investment
When I got my first job way, way back, my mom used to tell me to invest in gold - jewelleries at that. She told me that these are great assets that are also easy to liquidate in case of very urgent needs.
I got a few pieces then but sadly did not progress in owning more. I know, I know... poor girl!
Ironically, being in the Middle East where they say gold is cheaper, I was not able to buy any more. Hopefully, I can start investing in these again soon.
The steem silver rounds piqued my interest again and I thought if I cannot buy gold, I can perhaps start with silver stacking.
Silver stacking is investing into silver - coins, bar and bullions. The term "stacking" comes from the way you would store the coins, stacking them on top of the other.
Something Tangible
Naturally, a lot of people would have that notion that it is best to invest in something that can be seen and touched. I encounter this almost everyday in my job where our financial sales advisors get "objections" from prospects they try to sell life insurances and investment policies to.
Yes, there is a sense of assurance when the thing we put our hard earned money into is laid in front of us but there is also something called "not putting your eggs in one basket".
So for me, silver would just be one of my baskets. I may not have lots of baskets, but at least I have some. 😜

Stacking aside. There's just something about having a stack of silver near me that makes me feel good....

Omg. Me too. I was like, what have I done?! i practically cut the small envelope of the COA open. Haha.
Did you see how I just froze at the sight of the rounds?! They're frik'n beautiful i cant move. Lol. And yeah, I am already looking out how I can get more rounds from my area. 😄
