It's thundering outside as I write this, but the rain has yet to fall.
There's an eerie stillness surrounding me and the air is uncomfortably thick.
Maybe it's the calm before the storm...but I don't feel very calm.....
I've been reading a lot of post-apocalyptic books lately....the most recent one is of the zombie variety.
There's something freeing about that idea to me.
Traveling, living off the land, exacting revenge on those who would try to harm me.
Maybe it's the desire to have an actual reason for my constant fight or flight stress and anxiety.
Zombie Fun Time
I was reminded of my song Malevolence last night while I was reading.
It's an apocalyptic song of sorts, but the apocalypse is of the soul.
Being mentally, emotionally, and physically attacked and abused until you're dead inside.
The resulting spawn of the horrific assault instinctively searching out the aggressor and seeking revenge to completion.
Poisoned by a stream so vile inside of me
Seeds that sprout a demon's child screaming to be free
Slithers out and flees
Bringing back your hollow eyes
A sacrifice for me
I know....incredibly dark and twisty stuff here, but unfortunately based on real life events.
Welcome to my mind....
Anyway....back to the Zombie Apocalypse...
I was just discussing this potential debacle with The Shane, insisting that we are woefully unprepared for such a situtation.
We have no weapons or fighting skills, no food or water rations, and we live in a densely populated area.
Plus, we have 5 lazy cats.
We're screwed
I presented all these points quite logically to The Shane....he doesn't seem concerned...although he was likely not even listening and just nodding his head occasionally.
I tried to talk to Snibby the Cat about it, but he just stared off vacantly into the distance....
Or maybe he turned into a zombie...

I must have heard it 10+ times so far and I am ready for more listen because I still think this is beautiful at each listen as I thought this was beautiful the first time I heard it. Anyway I love it!!!!!

The cat just saw something very malevolent, or a zombie .. the eyes will come out of the scare hehe ..
i had a dream last night. there was a witch in the big house across the street making storm clouds for halloween, and she was mad at me for some reason, so i wanted to leave, even tho it meant leaving all my really nice things behind. A guy i has just recently met and somehow knew as a friend of a friend wasnt listening to me - he didnt want to leave. he sent me to the store for food, but i could only afford to buy a donut for myself with nickles and dimes, and i couldnt afford what he wanted. he came over with a huge roll of bills to pay for the rest of his food. as the storm got bigger the kids outside started walking towards my door and i was thinking they looked sick or sad, until I realized they were all turning into zombies. pretty sure this dream was about discord and how i feel uncertain about the future.
Witches, storm clouds, and zombies....yeah that's a stress dream alright. I have recurring dreams about zombies.

zombie apocalypse that really extraordinary narration that transports us to a fictitious reality and makes our mind fly, and the cat is definitely a zombie but what a tremendous analysis of an unreal reality
