ULog 21 - A hawk wanted to eat my chickens!
Today, a little hawk swooped into the chicken area. He got screamed at by the big chickens but decided to hang out on a fence post and oversee the chicken situation. He knew there were some little ones in there that would make him a tasty treat.
Dogs barking and me screaming made him take off - but he didn't go far. I almost was resigned to have to stay in the area to be a human scarecrow when he dove into the neighbor's yard. I hope he got a rodent to snack on...
On Steemit, I visited all the participants in #MarketFriday presented by the beautiful Denise @dswigle. One of the regulars, Sam @mcsamm. He showed us beautiful colorful African fabrics and said how he wished everyone would wear clothing made from them. Here in the US, many hold the opinion that it is a show of aggression when one wears ethnic clothing of a culture not their own.
How do you feel about that? Does it bother you if someone wears the typical clothing of a different culture?

Poor chickens, I am sure they had a big scare. Good that you came on time and scared the bird away. As for wearing ethnic clothing of a culture not your own and that being aggression... WOW, I do not really know what to say. Is there a logical explanation why is that aggressive or offensive? These days people really get offended easily with such simple things and ignore the big problems in the world, Just my two cents anyway. Have a great week honey 💚
I agree with you! The word microaggression is used here for so many things where you pretty soon think it is better to keep your mouth shut LOL
I believe that it thrives people further apart - but then again, I live in the body of a white woman in a country which has had much history of racism and slavery. But then again, which country doesn't.
In Germany, we certainly had the dark history of Hitler and all that came with it and the dukes used to own the people in their territory - serfs - which I would say is slavery...
